I feel sorry for Indian fans after that umpiring, however it isn't Symonds' fault. He gets given out wrongly sometimes. You take the good with the bad.

You're right, there is no right way to act.

oh and considering how big the edges are on symonds bat u'd think the umpre bucknor would have realized, hmm the ball must have clipped thos big ones lol.

I'm pissed off at the poor umpiring because.

a) I'm going to the cricket tomorrow, wanna see India get bowled out so I can watch the Aussie top order tomorrow.
b) We didn't need it. Would be better to have that luck in a more tighter match situation.
c) If there is going to be poor umpiring (giving the benefit of the doubt when they're out) then it should only be exclusive to Matthew Hayden. ;)

Funny how neutral fans are sucking up to the umpiring here.

Obviously they didnt watch the game and realize how crucial those wickets were to India at that stage.

Even the Aussies are admitting that umpiring played a role. OK, the batting was fantastic and aggressive, but India seemed so down and out after those string of bad decisions.

Once again, I defend my right to be a sore loser. Any sports fan worth his/her name would be sore if his team was done in by poor umpiring. OK, Kumble's captaincy was poor at times and he didn't get the field placements rights, but there's only so much you can do as a captain when up against a quality batting line up.

To people who are saying: it's just a game -- then why the hell do we have a forum here? It's just a game isn't it? Not worth talking about, isn't it?

But I'm not making any excuses. if India bat badly tomorrow, we deserve to lose once again.

It's not just a game for anyone who cares about it, and you're absolutely entitled to be annoyed, but the truth is, all teams cop bad ends of the stick and yours is just worse than usual right now.

I just hope that India's good luck (whenever it's due :p) is for players who really matter: like Tendulkar, Dravid, Ganguly or Laxman and not to tail enders like Harbhajan Singh or Zaheer Khan) ;)

// If the batting fails once again, my interest in the series might be lost forever. So you might not see me making a nuisance of myself here... :p

This is too much, why do we need umpires now? Lets have Aussie players umpiring in every match, they'd do better than these silly, mad, crap, prat, unworthy umpires. And that fat headed third umpire can be called the worst of the lot.

Non-Indians may call us bad losers, but it was literally like someone said, the umpires controlled the flow of the game. Had I been playing I would smack the filthy umpires' faces (probably thats why i'm not playing :p)

Knowing Steve Bucknor's track record Tendulkar will be given out LBW even if the little master slices it into his pads. I don't know about you but sometimes i feel Bucknor is against us. His bad decisions against us is too frequent. He's a great umpire as i've seen him in many matches but he makes mistakes and a lot of them seem to be against India. Meh maybe its my anger talking but everyone on the ground knew he was out. They went deadly silent until he said no. Lol at least the aussy fans around me got sun burned.

By the way i sat 3 rows ahead of Kevin RUdd AND BLOODY HUGH JACKMAN. Lol Yuvraj got bagged out so badly.

That's quite funny, could you hear them talking?

When i went to get an autograph i heard Rudd say "they got this yuvraj singh for his 'unbelivable batting' and 'exceptional fielding' yet what i find exceptional and unbelivable is that even Ganguly has performed better on the field"... and jackman said something and everyone in their little box cracked up. Didn't hear but you got admit Yuvraj was a joke.

yeah Yuvraj Singh is a joke. From what i have seen of him this series is poor poor poor and poor. Bad batting poor fielding, and i heard that he is consistently going to night clubs. Maybe alcohol and a mix of bad performances with the bat has damaged his confidence to bat and field. He has got to get things right.

I didn't know about his night life but i can definetly tell he isn't at his best. He is an exceptional fielder from what i've seen in other games that i've gone too. It might be personal problems perhaps cause Yuvraj never struck me as a bloke who stuffs around during a tour especially as important as this one. After is a different story.

What's worse is that the youngsters (RP, Sharma and Harbjhan) are worse fielders that the oldies (tendulkar, Kumble and even Dravid). But i have to say the bowling has been inspiring. No Zaheer, kumble didn't bowl well, Sharma was as i expected inaccurate (had a few good ones) and Aus were reduced to 134/6. If only they had Pathan. And no sehwag/Kartik. How retarded.

The 3rd umpire decision pissed me off. How blind are they?

Yuvraj's fielding has been a real downer for the whole Indian team.

But then he's been going downhill for some time now. Ever since his knee injury (I think it was in the series before the World Cup) he's been pretty slow.

I still think he's a great player who needs some confidence to do his talent justice. But he should concentrate a lot harder than he is currently. And somehow I think if he keeps playing as a ODI specialist, he's likely to have a better career overall. Somehow Test cricket doesn't seem to suit his style. He seems to be confused whether to attack or defend.

He needs a psychiatrist does Yuvraj Singh IMO he really needs to set things right and get on the ball. Take a read of Mike Husseys book, he talks about mental fatigue and loss of confidence, and look where he is now. He needs to sit down with the team and have a talk doe Singh.

Hogg sure is making it hard for MacGill to come back. If he bowls well this effort with the bat is surely going to see him as the number 1 spinner from here on.
Gotta give credit to the selectors made a bold choice in picking Symonds and once again he is repaying the faith.
