I'd doubt he would've survived that much longer.

That is ridiculous, apart from the fact that the guy has the best defensive technique in the world, he was playing all the bowlers fantastically, it is stupid to assume that he would just get out.

Just remember, the Aussies were batting so comfortable at the start of the day, and India couldn't bat 2 tests.

It wasn't the umpires, it was the Indians themselves. They didn't deserve the draw.

Oh yes.. you can say it like that cause aussies just rode on impartial umpiringand won the match. How nice.

So does that allow every other test playing nation to boycott umpires that have given everyone some bad decisions???

So should Australia now ask for the 2005 Ashes back since some bad decisions were given????

uh, ive had enough for today, but i can only see it getting worse since Indias media will brainwash them.

Oh and what did Symonds do so wrong, you were complaining about his behaviour?

I will never post in this thread again if Bucknor plays next match. It will never happen. He has been having trouble with us since 1992 and dont talk about something which you dont know. The amount of times we Indian fans have to suffer agony due to his decisions is conuntless.
You want Ashes......well you probably have it and i doubt England will ever get it back in coming 2 or 3 decades.

For somebody with a track record of bias like Steve Bucknor, he should be boycotted.

Go and ask. Who's stopping you :p

Because we'll continue expressing our opinions until we're done...

We have minds of our own and I watched the match. I don't rely on the media myself, but I think you're insulting to suggest that we'd let ourselves get brainwashed by the media.

Ok, here is my view on the situation.

"Everybody has seen what robbed India the game..there is no need to repeat it": Anil Kumble

The umpiring standard in the match was poor. It was bad for both sides but India got the worse of it. That being said, I refuse to believe that there was malicious intent from any of the umpires. India should not complain long about the umpiring because it will not happen again (since it was a mixture of low quality umpires and chance) and they have two more games to prove that they are the better team.

Michael Clarke should be ashamed of himself for claiming a catch which he grounded. The law is that if the ball touches the ground, without your direct conscious control (e.g. rolling it back to umpire), then it is not out. He grounded the ball because (as far as I am aware), he could not control his body and it was certainly not a conscious effort. This should be a large contributing factor against the 'honesty system'. I do not think that this was the umpires entire fault; ideally, they would have spotted it, but they and everyone in this thread at the time were looking at the actual catch and not the aftermath, I assume Benson was too.

On to the third Test; I think that Yuvraj's quadriple failure should earn him a big fat drop. His fielding which would otherwise have kept him in the team has been disappointing and 17 runs at 4.25 is not acceptable. He is hardly resting on past Test performances either, with a pretty ordinary average of 32.83 - with his hundreds and fifties coming in the flat tracks of either India or Pakistan. I would replace like for like (youthful fielders) and bring in Dinesh Karthik, with whom I would open the batting - demoting Dravid to number six in the process.

Wasim Jaffer's 22 runs at 5.50 is also not acceptable and I would drop him for Virender Sehwag. I was not a fan of Viru in the squad but I feel that you must replace Jaffer with a specialist opener who has done it at Test level (and is in the squad) and Sehwag is the only man for that job.

As for the bowling, I would keep Ishant Sharma in the team (for now). I never supported his inclusion in the team at such a young age but he did impress in the Test and, as far as I am concerned in judging his talent, he got the wicket of Symonds on 30. I would also bring in Vikram Singh for Harbhajan Singh. Harbhajan has taken 7 wickets at 51.71, which is not flash and I wish to be proactive on what will be a fast, bouncy Perth track - or so reports have told.

I would not play Pathan because, although he clocks high on the speed gun (up to 140kph), pace of the pitch is irrelevant for Pathan as he beats batsmen now with consistency and swing, not bounce or pace. If for anyone, Pathan should come in for Yuvraj, but I have made my thoughts clear that Dinesh Karthik is the better choice due to the opening conundrum.

Now for the moderator part. Try to keep swearing to a minimum please and stop riling Indian members up, Aussie fans. I understand that there is no malicious intent, but keep quiet unless you have something constructive on the situation to say or something to say on another situation. Indian fans are hurting and they will take anything as a cocky comment due to the rather fragile mindset that losing the opportunity to win the series and the umpiring decisions have left them in.

India had 4 or 5 bad decisions for every single bad decision against Australia.

Hardly balances out. Let's not go down that route???

Eliminating Symonds and Australia if scenario were to give Australia a score of 200 then India would've been at around 300 without Tendulkar and the lower-order support. Australia were definitely in full control on Day 4 and Day 5. Australia would've still made a commanding lead if decisions were made right.

Yeh, because you are Indian, you have to have everything your way? He was looking shaky at times and if Hayden weren't injured he would've caught that regulation slip catch.

No, cause asking for them back is being sour loser, ITS SPORT. Geez, we may aswell go ask for the FIFA world cup then while we are at it.... now if you want pain, thats a painful day in Australian sporting history

Anyway, im over for today:p

You guys sulked about the umpiring and played bad ever since. Bowled bad in both innings when things went against you then batted poorly in the second innings because India were to busy wimping.

Bowled badly eh... remember that without Bucknor you would've been blasted out for 200 odd runs and India would've taken a big lead and won the match. When a team is 134 for 6 it is said that the other team has bowled well. Get it?

Yeah Australia will claim all cathches of no ball as well to win 16th game. go get 100 in row.

Aren't you aware of two main facts/drawbacks of Pathan's bowling being spotted out yesterday by Wasim Akram?

1) He(Pathan) is using his thumb grip over the ball wrongly which is preventing him from getting better swing.

2) While delivering the ball, he is not bending his body backwards to increase the pace. Rather he(his body) is coming bit frontwards.

LOL. You wish mate. Tendulkar was the main carrier for that innings, with his attack and lower order support with him. If Tendulkar were given that LBW then it would've been a lead of only around 100. Australia had full-control over their 2nd innings and pretty much gilded to 400+ while losing 4 cheap wickets. Australia would've easily set a benchmark total of 500 if those first innings decisions were actually right.

Thanks for ignoring my post. Anyway, you can't compare a dishonest catch or a poor decision to a dropped catch.

But Pathan is >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> than Ishant.

Mod Comment: This is not constructive whatsoever. Don't do it again unless you have some sort of explanation.
