Wow! 3?! OH MY GOD!

Seriously, the season's not over yet. He could drag that up. He was in contention with Jaques at the start of the Aus season - he could do as well as he did,

I think since Rogers will be at home it is a good idea to use him. Also you're replacing Opener with Opener. Using someone else would be an experiment. They're better off going for Rogers who is obviously the form opener in Aussie domestic cricket.

Tait playing was a great move, however, they'll hope Johnson smartens up his act and they don't regret not having the spin option. After how Symonds and Clarke bowled, they should have that area sorted anyway.

From what I saw of Chris Roger in the warm up match between ACT XI and India he looked well organised in defence and possessed good range of shots. At highest level inorder to succeed you need good technique which he has and also seems to have temprament for it. He will no doubt be nervous as every one is likely to be in his first test match but I think he will do OK in his first outing. He has my best wishes ahead of match tomorrow.

For me Chris Rogers is a blessing cause i would have felt Katich would've given us a good beating (he has a good average against us to, im sure of it). But then again Rogers is no slouch and he is at his home ground so he is dangerous but as a replacement for Hayden maybe not but its a step for the future (or next 6 years).

I dont see hayden going anywhere for 2 years atleast. He will get at least 40 test centuries before retiring and no openor will ever be able to touch his heights.

Yes Johnson has to pull his finger out big time, whats going on with Hilfenhaus?...if Hilfy was bowling as well as he was this time last year Johnson would be long gone.

Our 2 most consistent openers in FC batting together should be good seeing how they go. Jaques had one off game but I can see him bouncing back, Rogers if he gets going could well convert it to a big 100.

Good to see selectors biting the bullet and going with Tait.

Jhonson is in the team to give the left arm angle which most teams find awkward to play. It also gives some avriation to the attack. Another reason why he is in side is because he has troubled Indian top order in ODIs.

What will be the over rate of Australia with 4 fast bowlers:p

Are people bagging Rogers?! He was the best Pura Cup batsman last season and is in super form. Close your mouths!
He did do well, but some of his bigger scores highlighted the plight of the WACA surface more than anything. It's also worth noting that he was nonexistent outside of first class games and for a batsman supposed to be among the best, that is impossibly rare. Even players considered Test specialists like Langer and MacGill are actually brilliant limited overs performers. All things considered, Hodge was probably the pick of the litter across the board, but instantly disqualified because they actually picked him.

I hope this test will end nicely.

My 11

Virender Shewag
Dinesh Kartik
Rahul Dravid
VVS Laxman
Sachin Tendulkar
Sourav Ganguly
MS Dhoni
Irfan Pathan
Anil Kumble
Ishant Sharma
RP Singh

I'd like to see the famed- Shaun Tait in action against the Indian batting line-up.Yes,Aussies are definately the favorites, but i really wouldnt count out India[not coz they r my team],but coz they do have it in them to come back victorious.
