India in England Jun-Sept 2014

Make up your mind pls. If Mohit is not played, you will say why has he on the tour if MSD is not going to play him ... this MSD I tell you ... his fetish for not trying out new players is going to cost us in AUstralia.
So you mean playing Mohit when Yadav is looking good is a good decision?MSD gets this blame just because he always plays a player just at the wrong time.

some of us if not all of us- self explanatory.

If you dont want me on this thread just let me know, I will leave it be.

Yes noted and corrected. Also I would hate anyone to leave a board on my account, no matter how much we differ on opinions.

No I mean, all bowlers will get a turn to play and there is going to be rotation and naturally Yadav will play. Just in the first match, the rotation has gone for Mohit, Yadav will get his chance in the coming matches.

There is going to be rotation, especially with the WC coming up, so some guys have to sit out. You cannot crucify the captain for that, like his initial post intends to do. Said something about Your great captain or something to that effect. Its quite fickle how MSD is public enemy #1 right now.

To the people who watched the game - How did Raina play the short balls ? Did he even get any ?

Yes he did got short balls but he managed well.He played well and got a six with a top edge.He was not seen in that awkward position he used to be in when a short ball comes during that Australian 7 ODI tour of India.

If anyone is interested, the rain time can be utilised watching Aus vs SA, which is a very finely poised high scoring match.[DOUBLEPOST=1409148135][/DOUBLEPOST]

He got a fair share, nothing too much, but a fair share still, and he did handle it comfortably. There was one miscued pull of Woakes which top edge went for a six, and another Anderson bouncer which went over the keeper's head after not the most convincing of fends. Short of these two opportunities, Raina was actually at ease against the short ball.

Watching it .. Faf and ABD are two of my current favs. ABD is on his way to legendary status

I know people look down upon the run gluttony that happens these days .. but I love a good high scoring run chase (even though it can be horrible for the bowlers)

Yeah ABD is one of the few to have truly mastered all three formats. On a side note how man more do you think there are? Roughly Sanga and Mahela, I would have said Virat before this sereis :). Can't think of too many others.

ABD and Sanga are the only 2 masters of all formats

I would actually have said Misbah too, had he had a longer career, and not been lambasted for slow scoring rate. I think he scores at a fine rate when he needs to. Even in T20s has an S/R of 110, not the worst in the world.

Definitely Hussey would go in that list.

I had this idea that Mohit bowled in the 125-130 range. Hitting 135ish here
