India in England Jun-Sept 2014

Im sure cook will find his batting form back, like every other player does when batting against india, but i do hope we upset england it will good for both india and eng in the current situation.

Fingers crossed for a good series.

Our first warm-up tomorrow against Leicestershire. We had a horrendous first warm up game on our last English tour .. hopefully this time we will have a good start right from the word go

I really just can't wait for this series to start, hope this is the series to completely bring me back into cricket like the 2011 WC, all I ask is to not batter our team with pressure even if they lose the first Test, we're historically poor starters in overseas tours, kinda like England themselves.

That's just wishful thinking .. if we lose the first test, especially without much fight, the knives will be out in a jiffy. I don't think any sports team in the world plays under as much media/fan pressure as the Indian cricket team does ..

The Brazilian football team could make a case... but it's playing under that pressure and importantly delivering under that pressure that makes you great, I just hope the supporters don't turn on India too quickly and be left playing what ifs.

I am waiting for this series too, with prayers on my lips for the underdogs (India) not to get battered. Optimistic prayer for our bowling to come out good. If the bowling does well, India will be very competitive in this series.

I am really worried about our bowling. Our bowling has potential but if the pitch becomes flat, I don't know how we will take 20 wickets. Bhuvi and Shami looks promising but Ishant is just horrible. I am excited to see how Bhuvi does because he did well in that home series vs Australia. Shami is good but bowls couple of loose balls every over to release the pressure that he has built on initially. Ishant is just horrible with absolutely no movement of the ball and bowling in early 130's. I know he will still be in the final 11 because he is the only bowler int he current lot who has played test matches in England before. He has to lead our bowlers and hopefully he will perform better this time. I don't know what to say about Ashwin because conditions won't be too helpful for him.

I think Ishant and Shami will do very well, both are quite pacey hopefully they sorted their line and length problems and the pressure problems also.. But it'll be interesting how we handle Plunkett, he made a kind of Johnson comeback to cricket. I think he will be the men doing the harm to us.

Gambhir and Dhawan scored fifties in 100 odd balls before retiring. Although its against Leicestershire who apparently are one of the bottom rung teams. But always good to have runs under your belt before going into a big series
Is this match broadcasted on any channel ?
