India in the West Indies

Taylor is cutting through the Indian-line up.

Run rate: 1.42 runs per over???

Continuing the same thing as in the first innings. Hopefully we are more lucky this time around! Is the pitch that bad to warrant so many wickets???

Both teams need to learn how to quickly adapt to the changing conditions!

Dravid and Laxman need to forge a good stand. Dravid looks in good touch, Laxman need to convert those hard, gritty knocks into big one's. Lets see if they can see India through, at the end of day 2.

I think if India can manage to get +/-200 in the second innings and then get a 300 run lead, they should be in a good position.

yea, hoping that the pitch doesn't change much. 350 would be a secure target, considering the fact that WI have a good batting-line up.

Dhoni's gone, and he played well for his 19 IMO. This pitch is certainly a bit difficult to bat on and better technicians than Dhoni have fallen for less. Dravid stands alone with Kumble at comming in.

India 122/6 and in trouble now!

Man, this match is swinging like a huge pendulum.. Wickets are falling like they never did. In the quest to make a sporting wicket, the curator seems to have given an underprepared wicket which doesnt serve the purpose!

India lead by 219 runs. The most reliable pair of Dravid and Kumble are in now. I still bank on India to get to a lead of 300 which should be more than enough on this wicket. I feel this match should be over tomorrow and the winner will take the series. Neither team have batted well, but India have a guy like Dravid whearas West Indies lack a player with that type of grit and determination.

I take back my words on Dravid which I made on Day 1 of this test. Staying at the wicket seems more important and Dravid has been doing that with aplomb in this test match! Hats off captain! You're the best in the world right now!

I feel anything over 300 and I dont see a winner other than India!

A lot of Bhajjiness will now be required.

225 run lead looks decent enough, but India will need atleast 300 to have a hope of winning the test.

India should produce enough runs with these last few wickets.

I agree. Kumble and Dravid still remain and there is Bhajji to come who can score a few useful runs and also can provide support to the batsman at the other end.

I hope india reach a lead of 300. From there on, I feel it will be India who would be the most relied upon to clinch their first series win in the West Indies since 1971 or so (sorry if I'm not right).

More importantly, India need to bat out most part of tomorrow. Occupation of the crease is going to be of prime importance. Runs will gradually come if the batsmen stay at the crease. The wicket is not going to get any easier.

I feel a lot of Dravid'ness is required at this point of the game. Some one who can stick around in the middle, eat up time and in the meanwhile, score some runs.

I can't believe we are talking about an Indian win. This wicket sounds like a minefield. 26 Wickets falling in two days. Geez, I missed the game today. Feel like calling in sick at work tommorrow.

"The Wall" has played on of the best knocks in Test Cricket in this Test. It's amazing how he has scored where others have failed.

Gundappa Vishwanath used to do that. Whenever the team failed, especially on the most difficult task, he prospered. No wonder he's among the greatest batsmen India has produced.

Dravid hails from the same state, same city, and he's played some wonderful knocks. This should definitely be one of them.

225 is the highest score a team has to achieve to win a test here. So an Indian win is a bit realistic. But to be very sure, youl'll need more runs. I'm sure Dravid and Kumble will stick and defend for most part of the first session, and then they'll slowly up the tempo.

Gavaskar himself has said many times that Vishwanath was a better batsman than him.

In the recent past Dravid has contributed more to the Indian team, than the "Star" Tendulkar.

I am glad "Big Mouth" Lara has his foot in his mouth now. He wanted to bat for two days on this Pitch. His comments are full of Shyte.
