50-50 at tea for both India and Pakistan
Its a 50-50 game still for both India and Pakistan at tea. India started off in an aggressive fashion with Gambhir scoring freely. But Sehwag didnt open up much. When Gambhir reaches 20, he tried to late cut a ball from Naved Ul Hasan and inside edged it onto his stumps. India 25/1
Next Dravid came in and joined Sehwag who had then started to open up and score in his usual attacking manner. But when Dravid was on 5, he tried to defend a yorker length delivery from Ul Hasan was the ball missed and he was gone, bowled for 5. India 36/2
Next, one of the heroes of this series, Sachin Tendulkar joined Virender Sehwag. Now Sehwag was at his usual best, scoring 6 - 8 runs off the bowlers and also leaving good balls outside the off stump. He scored 36 off 44 balls before he tried to leave a straight delivery from Shoaib Malik and was adjudged LBW. The whole of the Chennai stadium was silent because Sehwag was the batsman who was settled and who they thought can alter the course of this match.
Now Saurav Ganguly joins Sachin Tendulkar and both played till Tea without any further hiccups. But the best over of the session came in the penultimate over before tea when Tendulkar crashed Naved Ul Hasan for 4 consecutive fours in the last 5 ballsn(17 runs off the over!). That send the enormous number of Indian fans at the Chepauk stadium in a great frenzy.
India will hope Ganguly provides good support to the batting machine called Sachin and take India through to a series victory. But Pakistan at the moment fancy their chances more with 7 more wickets in hand and the spinners getting into operation! It promises to be a great contest between India's batsmen and Pakistan's bowlers!
