India Team Discussion

Virat's marriage is national property. It comes with the territory, especially since he's marrying a star Bollywood actor. Zaheer-Sagarika marriage too had enough limelight. This one will be much bigger since Anushka Sharma is a frontline top heroine and a way bigger star than Sagarika.

Virat must have known about this when he signed up for this career that he is in right now.

Just showing. There's this hoopla about how "GREAT" Ashwin is because of his numbers. I'm just showing the other side of the coin.
And who was the one who said Ashwin is great all round in any condition?

He is poor overseas, but could be considered "great" at home with all those spinning tracks. Jaddu should play as the lone spinner, and has proven this by taken a six fer in SA and is a better bowler overseas.

We will see who plays the first test in SA.

Can anyone shed light on the topic that since how long India is playing in Home conditions recently for Kholi to Pile up records after records, centuries after centuries... This is nothing to take away from his class and skills as I am also among ones who regard him the best modern era batsman but I am unable to understand the straight run of Home Matches for Indian Team unlike rest of the cricketing nations. When you play in countries like England, Australia, and South Africa then it's a different ball game and you get tough contests to play.

And how many times you will keep on posting the same ? I remember answering the same thing to you in two different threads on different occasion one during the India - England test around same time last year then again during the Australia series earlier march this year.

To be honest and fair lets have a look at how much India has played Abroad vs Home since 2013 (only tests)(5 years)

Away Tours

India tour of New Zealand 2013 (2 test)
India tour of South Africa 2013 (2 test)
India tour of England 2014 (4 test)
India tour of Australia 2014 (4 test)
India tour of Bangladesh 2015 (1 test)
India tour of Sri Lanka 2015(3 test)
India tour of West Indies 2016(4 test)
India tour of Sri Lanka 2017(3 test)
India tour of South Africa (3 test) *

Total - 23

Home Tours

West Indies tour of India 2014 (3 test)
South Africa tour of India 2015(3 test)
New Zealand tour of India 2016(3 test)
England tour of India 2016(5 test)
Bangladesh tour of India 2016(1 test)
Australia tour of India 2016(4 test)
Sri Lanka tour of India 2017 (3 test)

Total - 22

So basically India has played 23 tests away in 5 years period and has played 22 tests at home. Now tell me how is that India plays at Home more? Or how has Kohli boosted his record more at home when he has equally played away and home. Remove the South Africa series that is yet to be played and its still only 3 test matches played less. Add to the fact that in 2013 season India only played away at New Zealand (2 test matches) & South Africa (2 test matches) so in short in last 5 years India has played 23 away test matches not including the upcoming South African tour to 22 test matches at home. So your point makes no sense :)

EDIT

Also others do not get straight run because they dont have schedules set as India. Everyone wants to earn their slice of money from India and India plays everyone unlike other countries. Every country makes more then any series money playing against India.

I hope he understand the scheduling/FTP this time around instead of ranting that scoring runs at home repeatedly.

He will rant, India are going to be playing Australia, England, South Africa more (4-5 test match series) to New Zealand, Bangladesh, Zimbabwe, Ireland, Afghanistan, West Indies, Sri Lanka(2 test match series). This time around we have not mentioned playing Pakistan at all as per the new FTP to be decided.*

It was also decided that India will play Afghanistan in a Test in India in the next two years. The best thing to read on internet today :)
