Yep. Was thinking same on the weekend, a possible final clash between them both is certainly possible but Australia and NZ has something to say.
With today's BD win over England, it is almost certain that India may meet them unless St.Patrick's day comes early for the Irish. Personally, I do want the Irish to qualify given that they have some serious quality cricket and it would be a pity should they miss out here. NRR is going to be a major factor and they are lined up against a strong Pakistan side next. (fired up,no doubt cause of their win over SAF).
Media pundits though are going crazy with the probable semi-final line-up which, as they claim may see the hosts clash with India. The knock-outs are anybody's game and it would be quite an interesting match up should the results be different. As I see it happening, the QFs may look this way now:
India v Bangladesh
NZ v Ireland/ Windies
Australia v Pakistan (Pakistan might just pip the hosts here)
SRL vSAF (cant help feeling that SAF might lose here)
Can't say that. Basically, you can't compare these two sides. Cronje, Cullinan and Kirsten were a class apart. I do agree with the point on the presence of all-rounders and that is something that SAf is clearly missing here. People may argue about Duminy/ Du Plessis's role being that of an all-rounder; but what has been a common feature in SAF teams over the years has been a quality seam bowling AR who can bat well too.

All well WI should defeat UAE by a close margin, if Ireland defeats Pakistan on Sunday which is highly probable we can see Ireland finishing third in the Pool standings and it comes down to NRR between WI and Pak.
I'll take a semi final clash but a final clash, just typing it is so arousing!
