India Team Discussion

With the amount of hate Rohit is getting regarding his captaincy and attitude on the field, ex-captain Kohli must be heaving a sigh of relief to not be on the firing line.
Most of the hate he gets is due to the former Captain being one of the best player in the world and yet being dropped off the duties. I can just imagine had Tendulkar not given up the Captaincy unlike Kohli and had he been removed by the board, what could've been the uproar?

Tendulkar was a huge failure as captain though when compared to Kohli.

Are you seriously blaming Kohli for Rohit’s failures as captain? Bro you really hate Kohli with a passion.

First of all Tendulkar's team had a couple of matche fixers, few statpadders and some terrible bowlers compared that to Kohli's side who had aggressive, gifted players and most importantly bowlers who dismissed oppositions irrespective of the conditions!

Are you seriously blaming Kohli for Rohit’s failures as captain?
Again trying to cook up something that isn't a reality!!

I doubt whether Rohit failed as a Captain considering he won a couple of tournaments and 5 IPL titles unlike the guy who lead India for 7-8 years and won almost nothing!

The other point was about blaming? You can read my post again, I haven't blamed Kohli at all but called out the reason why few of his fans that are trolling the likes Rohit/KLR/Hardik/Pant.

Hate? HAHAHA! You might not even remember how many matches Kohli won for India as compared to the knocks that I remember he played for us! Only trolls hate on their own players, who knows perhaps you are one such troll?

Winning IPL titles? Yup that was the merit by which they made him test captain! The guy failed miserably captaining both games recently on the Asia Cup series.

Yet you still poking blame at Kohli. Youre miserable dude seriously, just admit you hate the guy and move on, stop the trolling.

Look I am all for India failing and under Rohit’s captaincy (in all formats he is captain i think now) then the swift turn for team India to the bottom of the rankings gonna be awesome for us.

The thing that rattles me is Rohit’s treatment of the younger guys in this team, they really dont deserve that abuse at all.

Look I am not falling for your trolling tricks once more, done here, but for once just admit you hate Kohli and move on brother.

Well, this is a first.

Well, this is a first.
Did it plenty times with my older acct, strange you cant remember, you were a huge fan back in those days.

In today’s period though, begs more of a question.

This is going to be the closest to the squad that India might pick for the WT20s

Openers
Rohit Sharma :c:
KL Rahul v/:c:
Ishan Kishan

Middle Order
Virat Kohli
Suryakumar Yadav
Deepak Hooda

Wicket Keepers
Rishabh Pant
Dinesh Karthik

All-rounders
Hardik Pandya
Axar Patel

Bowlers
Harshal Patel
Bhuvneshwar Kumar
Jasprit Bumrah
Yuzvendra Chahal
Ravichandran Ashwin

Reserves

Deepak Chahar :bwl:
Ravi Bishnoi :bwl:
Sanju Samson :wkb:

  1. I think irrespective of what happened in Asia Cup, we are still going ahead with KL Rahul and Rohit since the bounce in Australian pitches will help quick scoring. And hence the SR is expected to be high. Even Ishan Kishan won't be a bad option to open as he would like that bounce to play his shots.
  2. Kohli getting into some touch is a big positive for India and if both Kohli & SKY would get going there is going to be a lot of destruction. Hard on Hooda but I think he is more likely to be benched.
  3. There is a sure shot competition between Pant and DK which I think will end up in favour of Pant getting into playing XI. I just hope this doesn't cost India.
  4. I don't have any doubts that Hardik is going to perform with the kind of form he has shown this year.
  5. Axar is definitely going to replace Jadeja
  6. Harshal Patel did well in England and is worth that spot along with Bumrah & Bhuvi
  7. It's a tough question whether to have Bishnoi or not but it depends on bowling combination.
As for my liking I would consider playing:-

  1. Rohit Sharma :c::bat:
  2. KL Rahul v/:c::bat:
  3. Virat Kohli :bat:
  4. Suryakumar Yadav :bat:
  5. Hardik Pandya :ar:
  6. Dinesh Karthik :wk:
  7. Axar Patel :ar:
  8. Bhuvneshwar Kumar :bwl:
  9. Harshal Patel :bwl:
  10. Jasprit Bumrah :bwl:
  11. Yuzvendra Chahal :bwl:

Tendulkar was removed by the board. The captaincy was going back and forth between him and Azhar then.

I must say our admins were far stronger than the ones in recent years. Strong men, without bias towards players. The likes of IS Bindra, Dungarpur and Dalmiya weren't someone who could be swayed by a player's statute, unlike the current crop.

SRT ,for the record has two captaincy stints and was heavily favoured to take over when Dravid stepped down. The first stint - he was removed. The 2nd one, he stepped down. In 2007, he reluctantly took over the deputy's role for CWC2007-somwthing he shouldn't have done then

Why has Mohammed Shami been overlooked, is he out on injury or something? I mean to me he seems the best bowler you guys have, unless his form dropped off in the last couple years. Though they always shy away from using him in T20.

Yet another 1st round exit loading...

TBH even I want to say this with heavy heart . You don't deserve any world trophy with those team selections . KL is KL you can't do anything . But Rishabh Pant in T20 annoys me the most . :facepalm:facepalm:facepalm

Well, Dravid keeping him on the sidelines for the future here. When he exits the Indian role, he will commentate/give interviews and blame Rohit and the selectors for not selecting the best XI.

See, its highly strategic! :Claping:

Either way its a loss for India and the cricket world not being able to see a talented bowler like him on WC stage. Not a Team India fan but I think Shami is easily the best bowler available to them. Could easily walk into any international team starting 11.
