Good decision. Though I liked the stripes and it made the jersey badass not gonna lie. I like Test jerseys being as simple as possible.

Not sure why but it's been norm for addidas to not have 3 stripes in ICC events
Like SA and ENG in 2015 CWC

But the adidas logo is literally on the shirt. If advertisement isn't allowed, why were they allowed to keep that?

The ICC will allow teams some sponsorship, they usually do. But they will want to give prominence to their partners. I'm only guessing as to why the promoted shirt is different to the one in the promos.
They might have changed their stance, or have different rules for test match shirts.

I'm vastly disappointed with the jerseys. I think their training gear is just fantastic and would have loved to see that as the white ball jersey colour. The 3 stripes could easily then be in the tricolour. This is a lazy Nike re-do.

The WTC seems well and truly lost so let's see what the side must focus on in the near future.
Pujara, Kohli and Rahane are all around the thirty five year old mark at the moment while Rohit is thirty six. Pant's injury status may take a long, long time to resolve and we have no idea if he'll keep when he's back let alone his form. Rahul and Shreyas are in the age group where you'd say they're supposed to be in their prime but the former has been an inconsistent mess for too long while the latter has some serious questions over his ability to play in pace friendly conditions (an eternal obsession for Indian fans) and both of them seem to be slightly injury prone, more so in the case of Rahul. Gill's got some questions over his ability to handle the moving ball but we'll probably see him grow out of it/mask it enough or be moved down to four. Bharat's keeping isn't stellar enough to merit a spot as a specialist keeper and has looked awful with the bat so far.
For the bowlers, Jadeja is starting to break down with more frequent injuries as the burden of being an all-rounder in three formats is taking it's toll and he's currently thirty four years old. Ashwin's fitness has improved a bit I'd reckon but he's still the same age as Rohit and is another injury prone player who can struggle with high solitary workloads. We do have a couple of replacements who are in the prime of their career and improving to replace them in Kuldeep and Axar. The big questions are over the pace battery. Bumrah may never play another test again and was the pacer who was supposed to spearhead this attack as he's in his prime. Shami's the current senior pacer and has been managed well by India but the old questions over his injury record will always remain. Siraj doesn't seem completely comfortable being the spearhead or workhorse bowler, he loses his cool or lines far too often for the latter (the effect of him focusing too much on white ball cricket IMO) and doesn't seem threatening enough to be the former. Thakur keeps mystifying everyone but I believe his luck will run out at some point like it did for him in the white ball formats. Unadkat has some time on his side for one more cycle. Umesh is in the veteran category at this point.
I'd say we have a great collection of batters coming through if the management bothers to give them the chances to develop and gain experience. Our bowling stocks are slightly concerning though in the pace department. Looking at the pacers who played in the last two A tours, the only one who has done well is Mukesh Kumar who may well lack the pace to be truly competitive at the highest level. I do think he'll be the next one we try especially for the South Africa tour next year and the England one a year later. Saini's the other option but he's the absolute epitome of 'sometimes good, sometimes maybe shite' not to mention his own injury troubles. Nagwaswalla is apparently even slower than Mukesh and I don't know if Sheth is good enough to be making a shock test appearance. Umran's probably not getting a chance until he demonstrates accuracy and the fitness to last all five days.

For what it’s worth, I don’t think Rohit’s underperformance as the captain excuses or exonerates Kohli’s own well documented issues with captaincy. Not even sure why the latter is being viewed through rose tinted glasses these days, I guess we all tend to only remember the good moments in nostalgia.

I reckon Rohit, Pujara and Rahane might not be in BCCI's plan 6-10 months from now. I expect Virat to play for 1-2 years more. Jadeja might need to be careful about playing every match. Ashwin will definitely be in the scheme of things, especially home matches. Siraj and Shami have done enough to keep playing. Bumrah and Pant are wild cards. We don't know when they will be back in action. But I feel Bumrah will likely focus on limited overs format to prolong his career.
My take is that Rohit ,Pujara and Virat will step aside OR be forced out of the Test side. The transition has to begin soon. Rahane- I'll still hold onto to him, for the fact that he might end up performing the role Kumble did for India in 2008. Ashwin could also be a stop-gap skipper till they hand over the reigns finally to Iyer.
Jadeja has proven time and again that he can only perform on track that assist him. India will have to look at alternatives and might be even willing to look at Bishnoi, who has been nothing short of a revelation. With the considerable lack of India A/B tours, it is increasingly difficult to spot all-round talent, unless you go the IPL way and blood in somebody(not recommended at a Test level)
The bowling-again- not too happy with the erratic lengths from our bowlers in the 1st innings. Much was expected of Shami, but it wasnt to be. Umesh should be on his way out now.
For the WI series- I would ideally wait until the CWC Qualifiers to figure whether they'll play in the World Cup or not. If not, I wouldn't send our team there. With the financial clout that we have, we can very well stage an ODI tri-series with England, Australia New Zealand. Anyhow ,since the context is w.r.t the transition and WI series, I would really like to see the likes of Gaikwad, Sarfaraz in the side and hopefully these guys get a longer run.
P.S: Bumrah and Pant are finished IMO. The worst thing that the Indian management can do is to induct either into the World Cup squad. Their past exploits have been great- however, all of that came in a younger, fitter body. To be eligible for the Indian team, they need to go back to the grind, sweat it out in domestic and then return. There can be no substitute. India learnt this lesson the hard way in WT 2021, where we trailed a variety of players before the tournament. However, the main tournament saw the return of demi-Gods, who didnt perform on their given day.
