India tour of Australia Nov'20-Jan'21

Very good effort from the bowlers to restrict Australia to 369 considering one of them is down after bowling just 8 overs.

One could argue that had catches been taken then the scoreboard would have look different but that has been the story of this series plenty of drop catches. (From both sides).

Whatever the outcome of this match will be , the series will go down in the history as one of the most resilient effort a team has ever put up in a series.

Been a treat to watch this series great cricket all around. Test Cricket needs more of it!

Washington has bowl well in this innings - kept it fairly simple wicket to wicket and with his height making use of the Gabba bounce to very good effect.

And Yeah TAIL wagging again - Susprise anybody :D
Washinton is his first name so why is that and not Sundar on his shirt. I see some of Ravi in his action.

Not sure man maybe a choice of personal preference. Just observed a few of them has first name on their shirt - Rohit, Rishabh, Shardul.. but Pujara, Agarwal , Natarajan etc. have last name written on the back.

Would have sent Mayank Agarwal and not Pujara. Gill’s batting stance has changed a bit. He did not have a high batting stance. Cummins has got better off him in all three test matches now.

India did well to restrict Australia to 369 (even though the last 5 wickets added 155 runs). It's a bit too much to expect the current bowlers to rattle the tail off when even the more experienced ones have had trouble with it. So that's a satisfactory outcome.

Now onto the batting. Rohit getting dismissed after getting a start again is horrendous. As a senior batsman and an opener at that, one is to expect more from him. He is doing the hard work of getting his eye in but failing to capitalize on it. A dependable opener does wonders to reassure the dressing room.

And dependable openers are as scarce as snow in hell.
True, however, as a cricket tragic, I always end up hoping that someone steps up and dons that role admirably.

The main reason why Rohit has flattered to deceive in his test career has been because his natural position and role has been occupied by the Indian skipper and one of the best talents in our history. In his absence, I would have expected him to play there rather than open especially with Mayank in the side. Oh well, still think he has done an adequate job considering the circumstances.

For that Shot itself Rohit deserves to be dropped and never get selected in tests ever again.

But he is the ultimate when it comes to giving n no. Of chances and guess what will play all 4 tests against England at home and will even open the innings again in the subsequent away series in England.

Feel for poor Mayank here!.
