India tour of Australia Nov'20-Jan'21

Brush this Indian side off at your own peril Richie. These guys are on a mission. Don't forget we have done it in rhe past at the W.A.C.A in 2008. Last match was one of the greatest examples that we certainly are up for a fight. As an Indian fan I would take a 2-1 loss any day with the number of players we have lost on this tour. 2-1 win for India is a dream that could still be achieved.
Not underestimating your boys. Not after they bounced back from that embarrassing 36 In Adelaide plus the heroics on last day of the Sydney Test.

As has been mentioned above - can't blame the bowlers for this. The wicket is fairly good to bat on and they needed to be extremely patient to prize out wickets. That drop by Rahane has hurt us a lot today.

Only hope we have here is restricting them to less than 400 somehow and then a stellar show from our batsmen. There is rain forecast for a couple of days as well. If we could somehow get through this game with another Draw, it would be massive. I don't think we will be able to win this
Maybe we could still restricted them around 320-330..... Still around 50-60 runs to go. It is always about the morning session where things do happen. It's on our batters for this match. And this is the match for Rohit to perform, if he doesn't he is done and dusted for the Test side.

Triple ton from Sharma ji in the offing :D

I doubt even a 70 :p

On a more serious note, I think this wicket will be a lot more challenging for Sharmaji - it is spicier and he will have to be careful when playing the pull shot because it will be tough to control it. Aussies are definitely going to coax him into playing the pull/hook repeatedly and the front foot pull can be a risky prospect here.

Anyways, for that to happen, we need to get out turn at batting soon :)

India could have had a good day if they had held onto their catches. This is getting to worrisome levels now. As if not able to clean up the tail wasn't enough, we are now starting to excel in another territory.

Smith and Warner would be kicking themselves to let go of this opportunity to feast on the very inexperienced attack. I don't think they will have a chance to bat again.

Positives have been
- being able to contain Australia batsmen for most part (only to release it later towards the end)
- chances were created but not utilized
- debutants having international wicket(s) to their name

If we can keep Australia under 350, we can perhaps hope to make use of that momentum while batting. A lot depends on Rohit, Rahane and Pujara. Failure from these three could mean Indian getting bowled out for 150 or less in their 1st innings.

The fact that before every test innings of his we are indirectly depending on Rohit to do something magical shows his ability. People say Yuvraj has been the biggest miss in the white kit but this bloke could have made 10k runs.

Anyway, I don't think this is a make or break innings for Rohit. I do know that Australia could make 500 for all I care but if Sharma Ji is in the zone he can make any team, attack look very mediocre!
