India tour of Australia Nov'20-Jan'21

The wheels are coming off for the bowling lineup.

As I said earlier bowling with the older ball will be the key and maybe a bit too much to ask for the lineup which has a total experience of just 4 tests and one of them being down already.

I think Rahane needs to go back to classical off-side field instead of trying to force errors with leg side catchers. And the bowlers need to bowl according to that field and dry the runs up. Right now, it seems too easy for them

Also Bring in Siraj for a Fresh Spell our best bet in the current lot.

I saw the first half of the first session of the day on YouTube. Seemed like Marcus Harris had made some technical adjustment as he looked different from the way he played the last time around when we toured Australia.

Too little, too late? To be fair though India did bowl it tight for most part of the innings. The half hour before tea and the few minutes post that have ruined it for them. If we can keep them to around 270-ish for like 7 down, the captain would take that I guess.

Need another wicket or two before the new ball to really make a come back.. Well done natarajan. What a series he is having. Must be dreamlike for him

Reg Natarajan, I feel like a no-ball wicket is just around the corner.

And I'm glad that Ashwin and Bumrah got to sit out. We need them both for another equally important England series. Though I'm not sure if they would be able to regain match fitness by that time.

Can't blame the bowling too much. Line and length has been all over the place. Patience clearly lacking.
When your most experienced bowler has played only 2 matches prior to this match you can't expect patience. So yes can't blame the bowling too much. We are rather unfortunate this time around to lose so many players to injury. We should've been 3-0 up in the series with the way we have played thus far.

Now to Brisbane and Fortress Gabba.. a place at which the BCCI do not like playing. No surprise as India has never beaten Australia there (stand corrected) and we have not lost a series there since 1988.
Brush this Indian side off at your own peril Richie. These guys are on a mission. Don't forget we have done it in rhe past at the W.A.C.A in 2008. Last match was one of the greatest examples that we certainly are up for a fight. As an Indian fan I would take a 2-1 loss any day with the number of players we have lost on this tour. 2-1 win for India is a dream that could still be achieved.

As has been mentioned above - can't blame the bowlers for this. The wicket is fairly good to bat on and they needed to be extremely patient to prize out wickets. That drop by Rahane has hurt us a lot today.

Only hope we have here is restricting them to less than 400 somehow and then a stellar show from our batsmen. There is rain forecast for a couple of days as well. If we could somehow get through this game with another Draw, it would be massive. I don't think we will be able to win this

For a bunch of Test rookies they were most impressive.

Looking for the BGs to push onto 350 from here.
