I'd probably back Axar in the T20 team. Nothing to learn about Jadeja, so he can always come back in if he was needed for the World Cup. Basically what England have done with Stokes throughout his T20 career

Yeah seems a little surpirsing - maybe bowling according to the pitch? I remember him being the big thing for India in the U19 WC

His bowling action is super wierd with him looking at the sky when he bowls. Might want to get that sorted otherwise he wont be able to adapt if the batmen moves around

He’s never touched the pace or consistency of his U19 days since. As for his bowling action… it used to be way worse before. At least now the moving parts are slightly lesser and the head only turns up before bowling.

Depends on what the side wants. I don’t think Jadeja can be relied on consistently for four over spells but he is a significantly better batsman and fielder. I’d say Jadeja should be in ahead of Axar in the run-up to 2024 WC but I’d give Axar more games for now to ensure Jadeja’s fit for tests and ODIs at the moment.

That is indeed the mark of a special talent. He’s visibly improving with each game and to his credit has been working hard to gain experience wherever possible.

Mavi seems like he can be very effective under the right management. If he can just crank up his pace we might finally have a backup for Bumrah in white ball cricket.

Chahal is absolutely lethargic in the field and near useless in most T20Is. I’m still unsure as to why he’s a thing in this squad.
