India

If Pakistan beats Australia, and India beats the Windies, India will meet the Aussies in the Quarters.
If the Aussies win and India win, it will be India v New Zealand.
If the Aussies win and India lose, India v Sri Lanka.
Take your pick... Which one would you go for?

I know it wasn't a vital game but I loved seeing Tendulkar walk today.... very few players would have done that these days imo. Hopefully he'll get that 100th 100 against the aussies

It is...

Btw, Virender Sehwag is out of the World Cup QF. VVS Laxman to replace him specifically for the QF in Ahmedabad. :p

I honestly do not know. The manner in which both teams approached this game- was to simple give more match practice to the bench. So, Sehwag, may or may not have been injured.

In any case, I'd like to see him back in the team for the QF- Yusuf Pathan needs to sit out.

Its going to be hard to pass the time until India vs Australia. One match and we're in semi finals or..ITS ALL OVER.

The last thing India needs v Australia is for Ricky Ponting to fire. He has been woefully out of form and here comes a bowling attack he can tame. By the law of averages he is bound to do good.

But again. Going by co-incidences, Dhoni has won a tournament in which he has had a tied game. Go back to the ICC World T20, IPL, Champions League.

Also, our situation is quite similar to the one we faced in ICC World T20 2007. Tie to Pakistan,Lost v New Zealand, won v England [Yuvi back in form], knockout v Australia.

Here Tie to England, Lost v South Africa, won v West Indies[Yuvi back in form], knockout v Australia.

The biggest impact of the DRS!! Sachin has begun walking back to the pavilion even when the umpire didn't give him out.

He had actually shown honesty, unlike Ponting who stayed in the wicket even when he know that he have actually edged.

I think he probably would have been given not out on a referral - it was very difficult to see the edge...
Regardless, it's still nice to see. I can't remember one since Gilchrist.

That was the spirit of cricket instead of your so called impact of the DRS. Even he could've survived that review because there was no deflection in the ball, not even by a mm. Also without snicko and hotspot, it was going to be very tough.
But I respect that he walked off.

:noway

Sachin walking is not good. If he was sure that he was out then he should have waited and forced WI to consume their one review which might have helped India in some other controversial decision(though it was not necessary in this match). I am dissapointed . I hope he thinks twice before he walks the next time. Umpires are their to make decisions , let them do their job .
