Unrelated slightly, but Varun Aaron has destroyed Karnataka in the Irani Cup, first innings.

Karnataka is just like national side, they were bounce back from no where and win Irani trophy as well.match was evenly poised on first innings but 2nd. Innings Karnataka batted in champion mod with vice captain m. PANDEY batted lower down to produced match winning 123 not out , he was well supported by SAMARTH with 81 and k.k. Nair with 2nd. Half century of the match seal victory in final for Karnataka.

R.o.i folded for 156 in the 2nd, innings.Kedar jadhav scored match Dbl of 78 and 56 for r.o.i.

K. Rahul was not playing because he has hamstring issue and Dr. Advice for ten days rest,Lokesh Rahuls replacement, Abhishek Reddy make a impressive début with fine 54 for Karnataka.

Good to see him score some runs however, I would also keep eyes on some of the young players. It was surprising to see Raina and Shami didn't play for their respective teams. My list of players to look out for are Shreyas Iyer, Mayank Agarwal(He has to be the reserve opener over Unmukt Chand because of his form in A series.), Deepak Hooda, Hardik Pandya, Rishi Dhawan, Shami (returning from injury) and to an extent Manan Vohra, Manish Pandey and Manoj Tiwary. I would also keep an eye on the current players to see how they are doing. It is also great to see our international players finally playing a domestic tournament.

Even Uthappa is injured. I would like to see him more. I think he deserves some chance. He is been playing so well for Karnataka.
