Interesting article on Bawne. Was apparently supposed to be the U-19 World Cup captain. But issues with passport and DoB led to Unmukt Chand being made captain, and eventually winning the world cup. The way he describes his Ranji Trophy semi-final innings makes him sound very mature for a 20 year old.

What's the point of choosing 30 probables then?

This is an ICC ruling. I dont know exactly how it works, however, I have readup a couple of articles that hope is not lost for the champs of 2011 as they still can make the final cut.

The point of having the probable of 30 is that you choose your squad of 15 from that list. If anyone gets injured midway the tournament then you bring someone else who was named in that 30 probables. There is no point of choosing 30 probables if you end up picking someone else outside of that list.

Yuvi is looking to make an impact on the selectors here. He is currently thd leading run scorer in the season.
