Anyone from US? I am struggling with Hotstar. The stream is not starting at all. And also I have the US Hotstar app on the Amazon Fire TV and it doesn't even show an option for the live streaming of the opening ceremony. Anyone else with similar issues?

There seem to be a issue with the hotstar at the moment even here in India , I actually wanted to watch the PL game between everton and Liverpool but despite having a premium subscription of 999/yr (access to all TV Shows , Movies as well as the sports ) it is giving an error to start the free trial.

It’s working now. But nowhere near HD quality (more like SD quality). And so hard to navigate through the Hotstar app on Fire TV. Hope this is all because they’re fine tuning the heavy traffic coming in. Willow is just so much better in handling this

Can I choose different commentary options on the smart device apps (eg. Fire TV)?

The best streaming quality they have is 720p they should atleast have 1080p if not more in the days of 4k TV to have a better viewing quality.

From what I saw of the live telecast of the opening ceremony, it did not look really good. Hope the live telecast of the main game exceeds what we saw of the opening ceremony.

Chennai make a great start, winning the toss and bowling first. It makes sense to chase when their bowling is a big unknown and you wouldn't want to get under pressure in such a case by defending a total.

Seriously, it was goosebumps seeing MSD in yellow, at the toss. Yes, I am an emotional guy but this was so overwhelming for me... The moment was just so strongly emotional! I guess the emotion plays a bigger part in CSK's return because of the team and the success they have had. And for the man... Dhoni!

Ali you are a Jio prime member, right? So you didn't have to purchase hotstar subscription as Jio TV is providing stream free via hotstar.

My phone is dead and rest is history.

Actually switch back to TV watching on Starsports considering it's a weekend and the opening match also no boring daily TV shows for Mom to watch so ha I have the luxury to watch it on big screen on the weekends.

Very interesting team selection by Chennai. 3 spinners, 4 seamers, so many allrounders. Watson and Chahar opening! We have already had a mountain of surprises from CSK so far!

Rayudu to open with Watson. I think its a very bold move but Rayudu has the game to open. Hope he succeeds!

The streaming quality has gotten much better! And the overlays are looking really good. I think the opening ceremony were probably just starting blues.
