They should get Pujara! I know he is not a smasher but CSK needs someone solid post Dhoni, who knows this would be Pujara’s second innings in limited overs.

Oh and he does have a hundred in T20 cricket playing in Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament. Not a bad strike rate of 110 and averaging 30.. which is the 50’s of ODI!

The problem is that you need to play him as an opener. With Du Plessis and Watson and Vijay as a reserve, I doubt he can open. Also Rayudu is locked at 3, so the top 3 is well settled. No point of him playing in the middle order as he doesn't have those power hitting skills.

I don’t see Watson and du Plessis both playing together.
Tahir and Bravo are automatic picks in the team, and I think Hazlewood must also play, considering the lack of fast bowlers. Leaves room for only one of Watto or du Plessis

Don't think Dhoni is too keen on changing that opening pair. Also on slow UAE pitches there isn't a requirement for an additional fast bowler. I don't think Hazelwood can be as effective in the subcontinent and the Middle East.

Reports are emanating from CSK camp about N Srinivasan being miffed with Suresh Raina and indirectly hinting at him saying "cricketers can act like prima donnas and success can get into heads" and "Raina will want to come back, knowing that he will lose 11 crores if he doesn't play this season". If N Srinivasan is really quoted accurately for these above statements, it is absolutely a disgusting statement made by him and one doesn't even need to have been around the team to say this. What success has Raina seen that he can take to his head? For the last 2 years, he hasn't played domestic cricket. His last international game was more than a year or so back. His last year with CSK was underwhelming. He doesn't care about losing limelight to MSD by announcing his retirement on the same day as India's most celebrated cricketer after Sachin Tendulkar. What is that "success getting to his head" that N Srinivasan is quoted to be saying about? And that NSR quote about Raina losing 11 crores for the season - seriously? You think Raina wouldn't have thought about that when he made his decision to skip this season? Does money really matter during pandemic times and with a family that's grieving back home due to an attack that has killed his innocent family members in Pathankot? Yes it happened on Aug 19, before CSK left for UAE. Maybe Raina thought he could play through the personal tragedy. But the bio bubble could've enhanced his mental agony to the point where he might have decided to call it off for himself.

I hope CSK's official media team and Raina come out and clarify on the rumors and the N Srinivasan quotes that has blown up on social media right now. I hope CSK respects Raina for what he has done to the team. I hope Dhoni backs him. If Dhoni puts his foot forward, NSR's words won't matter

On the other hand SC wants us to give Final year University exams as stated under UGC guidelines. And they have given the cut-off date to be 30th September. What if any of the student get affected ? The basic sense that Indian Government lacks.

This is expected though. Our bigg boss has always been more focused on his own 'Mann ki baat' than to listen to people's 'mann ki baat'. Anyways, the govt has given up on trying to control COVID in India I think - they will blame state govt and state govt will blame the citizens, while at the same time going on with further relaxation of business etc. with their Unlock 4.0. All the chest thumping of "lowest rate in the world" during the months of April-May has gone down the drain now

I think IPL guys dont need to panic just yet. 7-10 days of strict quarantine of CSK players will bring the count back to ZERO (hopefully). But the teams and management really need to follow the protocols

Was just looking at the RCB squad. Who the hell will be in middle order? Can’t seem to find good middle order options.

I think one of Kohli or Finch might have to step down from opening this season, allowing Devdutt Paddikal to open. Otherwise the middle order looks weak af, with Gurkeerat and Shivam Dube being the only local options available.
