Indian Premier League - General Discussion

Missed the super over by a matter of centimeters. Oh boy, that would have been some redemption by Maxwell but luck continues to elude him.

The only reason that they even came so close was due to him. Unbelievable that a youngster gets promoted ahead of him when the game was still in the bag. Could have sent Mandeep if they wanted someone with more confidence.

18th over was the turning point.

That pretty much sums up Punjab's season. Got close so many times but they screw themselves over in the end.

Would've loved for that final ball to go further a few centimeters and see a Super Over.

That was a terrible decision to send Prabsimran ahead of Maxi, I don't understand the logic behind sending an inexperienced batsman in such a critical situation.

Pretty much sums up fifteen years of supporting my favourite players. Don't know if it will ever change.

Thakur bowling this well shows that anything is possible in 2020.

Incredible performance from Kohli tonight. Shades of that 2016 knock versus Australia in this one. Just magnificent.

So tweaking happy that we got over the line once again. That 17th over from Sunil was crucial and 2 wickets by Prasidha was icing on the cake. What a victory boys! [HASHTAG]#OnwardUpwards[/HASHTAG]

I think our bowling has done well in crucial situation, we really need to give them better targets to defend.

Although looks like 170 should be good enough against CSK, I have a feeling CSK will chase this down. They just need to bat sensibly, rotate strike, get the boundary.

Should Parthiv come back into the team? Feel like RCB need AbD fit in the second half of the campaign if they are to qualify and Finchy despite his international exploits looks clueless in the IPL like several of his countrymen. Philippe in his opening role could be another option.

CSK's story throughout this IPL. They just don't score enough runs at the start and leaves too much at the end. It used to work for them in the past considering how good Dhoni was but he is just not the same batsman anymore. I don't see them chasing this score but I will be happy to be proven wrong.

If there is one match-up where I would favour CSK in the entirety of IPL this season, it would be Chennai's death overs batting versus Bangalore's death overs bowling. Wish we had a Umesh or Siraj to help us though. :p

Just when I thought we could see a Dhoni special, cause it's always against RCB :(

Being a fan of Dhoni-The Captain and CSK's dominance over the years I can only feel for CSK. This looks so grim and painful to watch. Just want to see them through in the top 4. It is looking like hopeless now.

Also I cannot watch De Villiers like this. He is struggling today and it seems like his back is giving up now. So sad to see such a humble and down to Earth man struggling and not getting to be himself. :(

The slightly slower and two paced nature of this wicket, really adds even more value to Kohil's inning. Scoring 90* at a SR of 170+ is simply incredible

Complete heartbreak for KL though. That was just awful. 21 off 16 needed with 8 in hand, and then losing the game is just insane
