You answered your own question Parth. Out of 38-40 innings, half the time he has done good and half the times he has done poor. Also out or the 20 innings he has scored good, how many were match winning? Out of the ones he failed how many were crucial? I dont have any answer but would love to discuss in the Indian team thread.

Pretty sure most of those knocks were as an opener though. He was India's backup opener until Rahul for quite sometime. The South Africa tour in 2018 was the only time they tried him as a number four again where he had yet again one very good performance and a bunch of poor ones.

Huge victory for us after that awful drubbing last match. Should boost the nrr. Also with SRH and KXIP playing, one team will reach 10 points, so this win gives us that 2 point lead. Need to keep winning and our inconsistency will be tested big time in the last 3 games.

Top order fails and KXIP tumbles, perhaps Kings have robbed points from RCB, DC, MI ? This is a golden opportunity for SRH, they need to get the Kings down to 120-130 and play like MI did yesterday. Amongst all the teams, they have the best positive NRR.
