Indian Premier League - General Discussion

Surprised Mumbai are playing him on this track. I think I would have played Jayant Yadav on this track even if that means playing just 3 foreigners.
Anukul Roy is another option have in their ranks.

A left armer who on such wickets I feel will be more than handy

He's literally on the field every game since last season, surprised why he hasn't gotten a single game yet.

On the game, Hardik should be the man of the match.

I'm surprised that he was even bought. Mediocre player all around. I'm at risk of turning into our resident Pant troll if I keep talking about him I suppose.

I agree with you on Pandey, I've actually got an interesting hypothesis on SRH in particular. Gotta check if the facts are true. Pandey most certainly isn't this bad, he outperforms players like Mayank and KL in Karnataka for example. But the way he's been playing, he needs a break.

It's great to see MI getting battered. Probably the most detested team in the IPL. Looking forward to seeing one of Warner/Bairstow give Boom-boy a mullering too in the final overs
Can you tell us who is going to get battered tomorrow so I can put a bet on the other team?

Same views. Maybe they are inclined to their pacers hence Yadav hasn't played.

I think SRH need to just stop overcomplicating things.

Warner
Bairstow
Williamson
Shankar
Kedar
Samad
Abhishek Sharma
Rashid
Bhuvi
Natarajan
Sandeep

Obviously, you can always play Shahbaz if you need to play the extra spinner. Rashid is more than good enough to bat 7. I would actually float Samad. Let him bat 3 if Bairstow and Warner are ticking and one of them falls in the PP.

I think he was good before becoming injury-prone. I can very well remember that 2014 tour where he made life incredibly difficult for both Dhoni and Kohli at peak form in a 300+ run-chase at Napier.

@SaiSrini can tell you how frustrating it is to see Jadhav in your side. :p

Oh yes, he was very good and could have been world class had it not been for injuries. My opinion of him is just based on the player he is today. I think for every excellent delivery he might conjure up, he is likely to bowl a loose ball or two for it and get really punished. I assume Mumbai wanted him to be a McClenaghan when Boult is the better option for it.

Milne has been a part of MI camp previously as well. MI is more like a daily soap extended family. So they tend to by back their loyal players. Then it was McClenaghan, now it's Milne.
Imagine the same loyalty with Buttler or Cummins. Or even Behrendorff. Could have been unreal.

Imagine being the richest person in India and still ending up short of cash in auction for stalwarts you just mentioned above.
What has that got to do with IPL? Every team has been set a limit by BCCI beyond which they cannot spend.
