Indian Premier League - General Discussion

Jayant and Rahul are doing great, bring in Neesham for Krunal... He's useless.

Neesh isn't anything more than a batting all-rounder. Unless Hardik starts bowling again, trusting Neesham for four overs is a risk. And him at seven is a real waste of his batting.

I absolutely agree on to it but, won't mind him sharing a couple with Pollard. As Krunal hasn't done much with the bat either.

How could you bowl three wides there? If nit for loyalty quota, Krunal's done.

Now what was killing Bumrah for bowling at this pace in his opening spell :p

Cannot wait for matches to end in this lullfest Chennai ground. Such boring games! From the English tests to the IPL, Chennai has produced one of the most horrendous boring pitches for cricket. Again this is T20 and we need good surfaces that can give us 160 consistently. A low scoring thriller here and there and a super high scoring thriller here and there. Pitches that behave this way consistently will kill T20.

KXIP biggest win v Mumbai :')
Hooda 1-0 Krunal Pandya

To be fair MI fielding was poor. Other wise this was going to wire

To be frank, this has been pathetic approach; MI have been playing on a same pitch for two weeks and yet they have not been able to figure out how to use the conditions to their advantage. I mean why Boult had to start with a short ball when it's not a bouncing track and he hasn't even made an effort to bowl slower. Slow balls have been used against MI time and time again this season, that's why their opponents have been successful in restricting them for those poor totals. But are they gonna learn? I'd be shocked if changes are not made for next game, because some players are really not showing any intent.

It has been on all ends of the spectrum. Mumbai has served up some really annoying range hitting fests (the PBKS vs RR; CSK vs DC; CSK vs KKR) and compared to those games, Chepauk's low scoring ones have been really better.. Its the stereotype of T20's needing to be batsmen's game that is wrongly placed. Batsmen struggling to consistently get the hits going and the bowlers doing well for a change, is not a bad thing.

I am not advocating for all pitches to be like Chepauk, but let Chepauk be Chepauk and it is still good to host T20's

This is not new for Mumbai to start off bad, and then make a mad cap dash to the playoffs and even win the whole damn thing.. Hope the non-MI fans are not rejoicing at this. They still have a very all-weather side and it won't take long for things to fall in their favor.

Though... it is surprising that Mumbai with an all weather squad, tripped up in Chennai whereas CSK with a "Chepauk based squad" have got 3 wins out of 4 in batting friendly and bowler graveyard Wankhede. T20 and IPL truly throws up surprises...

I would back Hardik Pandya and Kieran Pollard to bowl 4 overs between them and put in Chris Lynn instead of James Neesham. Delhi is not a batting paradise. How could drop Ishan Kishan. Very bad xi
