Cannot wait for matches to end in this lullfest Chennai ground. Such boring games! From the English tests to the IPL, Chennai has produced one of the most horrendous boring pitches for cricket. Again this is T20 and we need good surfaces that can give us 160 consistently. A low scoring thriller here and there and a super high scoring thriller here and there. Pitches that behave this way consistently will kill T20.
It has been on all ends of the spectrum. Mumbai has served up some really annoying range hitting fests (the PBKS vs RR; CSK vs DC; CSK vs KKR) and compared to those games, Chepauk's low scoring ones have been really better.. Its the stereotype of T20's needing to be batsmen's game that is wrongly placed. Batsmen struggling to consistently get the hits going and the bowlers doing well for a change, is not a bad thing.
I am not advocating for all pitches to be like Chepauk, but let Chepauk be Chepauk and it is still good to host T20's

This is not new for Mumbai to start off bad, and then make a mad cap dash to the playoffs and even win the whole damn thing.. Hope the non-MI fans are not rejoicing at this. They still have a very all-weather side and it won't take long for things to fall in their favor.
Though... it is surprising that Mumbai with an all weather squad, tripped up in Chennai whereas CSK with a "Chepauk based squad" have got 3 wins out of 4 in batting friendly and bowler graveyard Wankhede. T20 and IPL truly throws up surprises...
