Indian Premier League - General Discussion

With Bairstow not a part of this leg of IPL, Warner and Williamson being part of the playing XI a certainty, no?

Natarajan tests positive for Covid. Unfortunate event, but the scheduled game seems to remain unaffected.

Warner out. Now SRH can't make more than 160.

Wonder if any players are now "worried about their well being"

*ahem*

International cricket is dying man! Don't be surprised if we reach a phase in the future where international cricket becomes all about World Cups and marquee test series and the rest of the game is played within various overseas leagues that possibly culminate into a Championship league. The sport is headed the football way. And well........... the current Indian coach (Ravi Shastri) seems to have a similar suggestion for cricket moving forward.

From 75-5, it's a decent score to get considering SRH hardly has any proven power hitters. Low scores can get a little tricky. If Bhuv and Rashid up the ante, this could be an interesting match.

As if it's different today. We already reached this phase 2-3 years ago.

I had said and suggested this a long time back and people make a big deal about it but when you ask them one question about a bilateral series that happened 6 months back they have no idea.

My suggestion since 5-7 years now has been-

Test series in two tiers where the bottom placed Tier 1 team plays top placed Tier 2 team after three years of test match cricket to determine the two tiers.

Annual CT played in a league format where there is no SF or final. A simple each nation plays the other 9 thrice (home, away, neutral). (50 overs)

T20 WC every 4 years with at least 16 teams.

I refuse to believe in a world where Ravi Shastri is right :spy :spy

Woohoo, another one sided affair

So much more exciting than watching the 5th Test with the series poised art 2-1 :D
