Amazing by Gujarat. They have played so well because their Captain did well. I am super happy for Hardik and hope he or Faf takes home the cup. Kohli and Hardik could use the boost. So Gujarat into finals in their very first season and to play the finals at their home venue with 100,000 people expected. Noice!

A great game of Cricket yesterday. Buttler as expected had a useful contribution in the match but eventually it was the Miller-Pandya pair that won it for Gujarat.

I think Buttler started off well and he looked confident too. Yash Dayal just played with the mind of Yashasvi Jaiswal to get in out and everything was happening so quickly. The way Samson was striking the ball I felt nostalgic and his knock certainly reminded me of this game, pure Captain's knock after the loss of an early wicket. I think Buttler slowed down little too much in the middle overs while Rashid & Sai Kishore did well to tie him down. Buttler being Buttler eventually finished off strongly.

189 again I felt was a pretty good score and there should be no excuses for failing to defend that score. Even though Boult got an early wicket he was a little below par. Also I feel Ashwin bowled well apart from his first over that went for 17. Yuzi had a completely off day. Obed McCoy chose a wrong say to turn out as terribly as he did last night. Not getting wickets in that middle overs was also a disadvantage.

Gill played so wonderfully well but was very unfortunate to get run out. Wade has to be blamed for his confusing gesture. Plus he had to be the one to sacrifice his wicket looking at the way Gill was striking the ball. The best part of the innings was the way Hardik & Miller rotated the strike. Really appreciate Nehraji for asking these players to keep calm and be composed in pressure situations because these guys have got that power game to recover for chewing a lot of deliveries in the middle overs.

Also agree with Simon Doull regarding the fieldin g positions in the last over by RR. Planning was good but execution was just poor

Possibly I expect a GT vs RR final.

I feel for RCB, really. I wouldn't mind seeing them lift the cup this year. It's a long shot but it would be a relief for many, especially VK, who would look forward to something like this to kickstart his run-making abilities. Thus, for India's sake, I hope RCB does it this year #yeSalaCupNamade (pretty sure I messed up the tagline)
