Indian Premier League - General Discussion

Kind of subdued celebration there by Patidar. Helmet still on, no high jump..just a calm wave of the bat. It was a sensational innings nonetheless.

RCB is driver's seat at the moment.

Not seen Inzamam Ul Haq have I seen a batsman with such lazy elegance!

Big big credit to Faf. Consistency in selection is what's been missing in this team. Wish he had joined while his best friend was still playing cricket!

Story of Rajat Patidar

Gets picked on basis of strong domestic performances > Fails to live upto potential > Gets criticised for failures > Drops out of team

Eventually he was released and went unsold in the auctions!

Luvnith Sisodia is injured > Patidar gets another go > Shows consistent signs of improvement > Becomes a crucial part of RCB's middle order > Scores a century in Eliminator.

Joins the Elite list of Murali Vijay & Virender Sehwag to become the third batsman to score a century in IPL Playoffs

This ton gives me Manvinder Bisla vibes from 2012. Although that was in the final. Mainly because both players weren’t the most coveted prior to their innings.

Lucknow's downfall for the past few matches was getting cocky with the depth in their XI and their squad. You have Hooda doing really well at 3, yet they'll push him down. Also randomly pulling Manan Vohra out of 2015 when you've got Manish Pandey on the bench doesn't make sense. Pandey's always destined to score a 71 (45) knock as he does every season, could've been today. Can't chop and change when you're already in the playoffs.

Guys like Hasaranga and Shadab are so enjoyable to watch, contribute well in all three roles, although Shadab is definitely a better batsman, and a world class fielder. I know Hasaranga just put in a fantastic dive, but can anyone tell me if he is consistently great in the field? Haven’t really followed the IPL or SL matches too much.

Think there's definitely some improvement needed for Hasaranga with his fielding. Recall him dropping a few sitters this season. Might find Hasaranga become more similar to Shadab in the future, he's batted in the top six for SL and he's bound to become better. Although that's hoping his bowling doesn't take a big dip like Shadab.

Bye Bye RCB.

LSG gonna win it convincingly.
