Mhatre won't get a game if he is announced as the replacement. The worrying aspect fro CSK's POV being they literally have no one in the leadership ring.

I'd have tossed the captaincy to Ravindra here. Going to MSD not a very long term and viable decision in my opinion.

CSK can go for local or OS player but maybe local is better as their template has 7 OS atm and an extra might hamper things

Only issue is csk have 2 indispensable OS players as bowlers while bowling is the unit which has better young Indian prospects like Kamboj and Gurjapneet and Gopal even. So they can’t play 3 OS players who bat and have to play Hooda Shankar or Tripathi

So signing an Indian who hopefully tees off or giving a chance to Shaik Rasheed or Andre Siddarth or Bedi in a similar attempt to Ruturaj and Jagadeesan getting their first big chances in 2020. Rutu was a product of this. It’s time to blood another one

From an IPL perspective, yes. Cause KLR does go after the Orange Cap usually. From a captaincy perspective, more so, though I feel he is playing much better without that burden over his shoulders. CSK and RCB could have had him as an option to lead.

now that the impact player is a few seasons old, it's interesting to see which bowlers have batted very few innings despite playing a lot of matches. from skimming through i found Khaleel Ahmed has only batted 5 innings in 63 matches (today he's in CSK's bat first XI, if he comes out it'll be his first innings in over 30 matches) and Pathirana hasn't batted once in his 25 matches. Interested to see if anyone has played more matches than Pathirana without batting

What KKR expected of Kamlesh Nagarkoti and Shivam Mavi back in 2018 got in form of Harshit Rana and Vaibhav Arora.

All of the U19 2008 fast bowling have been disappeared - Ishan Porel the other guy.

Only Arshdeep is in the mainstray now.

Excellent comeback by LSG. GT lost the plot after being 120 in 12 overs. I thought Tewatia should have been sent right now with only 3 overs left. No point in left-right combination. It's the runs that count.
