Rajasthan Royals vs Royal Bangalore Challengers. Now that's the sort of opening fixture I like to see. Warnie vs KP straight away. Looking forward to this, possibly the debut of Atul Sharma as well, he's signed for Rajasthan hasn't he?

Smith vs Steyn as well and Kallis vs Morkel( seems to have his grove back after he got dropped took 12 in the match over the weekend). Going to be a great opening weekend.

That's crap! They'd have asked me for the logo and wallpapers!:p What they did on the wallpaper was just putting some fractals and put the outer glooow on the cl. booo. :p

The logo's nice anyway.

Right, I've made my mind up. Pietersen and Flintoff should not play in the IPL. We've had a long tour of the West Indies, they are suffering (one with form and the other with injury) and they need a break. England have a good day at home on the 5th of April - they should rest until the tests against the Windies on 6th May. Need to get the sharpness back.

Hmm, what are they going to do - snap up 1.55 million and play in one of the most exciting new innovations of the game or listen to Lee...

:p

He does mean the IPL!

I know!

You should never have to explain sarcasm but here goes: Roamin' Rohit described the IPL as 'one of the most exciting new innovations of the game' and I said 'no, I'm talking about the IPL' in jest because I don't think it is. For me the IPL is one of the worst things to happen to cricket ever.

Not my mistake since your post didnt give me a hint of being sarcastic.

According to me, the IPL is the 'most exciting new innovations of the game' and I agree with Rohit

How is it one of the worst things to happen to cricket again? Because people have fun and are entertained by watching it in a concert-like atmosphere rather than a prim and proper British atmosphere? Because it's T20?

If anything it's helping cricket. Batsman are becoming more aggressive and its transitioning into the other forms of the game, making test match cricket a lot more interesting in the process. Bigger scores, more runs and more engrossing cricket.

It is changing the way cricket is now played, and the change has been exciting (from the fact that the changes are being met with positively). It has reduced tension between sides that previously had lot of tension between them. Players from all over the world get better due to their interaction with players of other countries.

Its far from worse. Its one of the best

There is no such thing as a 'prim and proper British atmosphere'. You only see something like that at Lord's. Do you think the Barmy Army go around saying things like 'tally ho, mighty fine shot old chap'? No, they don't.

I don't know about you, but I find it sad that money is taking over as the fabric of this beautiful game. Players would now be willing to leave their countries in the lurch for the sake of playing in an over-hyped tournament.
