Let's do it!

Tendulkar gonna be dismissed early on Day 3 and the rest of the team will be bundled for about 220-250ish. Still sticking by my 2-1 verdict in RSA's favour. If we'd bundled them out for about 275-300 then I would have thought an Indian victory possible.
I think India will be in for a tricky 4th innings runchase...somewhere around 300. They have the talent to pull it off...it'll be an interesting battle between Harris on a wearing wicket and India's batsmen. Also Steyn and Morkel with the new ball.

lol. it's always the same.

warne and mcgrath were injured blah blah blah.

we're talking about being a "flat" track bully, not playing good bowlers, and not exclusively against fast bowling, not exclusively green pitches. all "conditions" that are difficult to bat in. so stop trying to make this about something else.

you don't think his 201* in sri lanka where the rest of the team manageg 148 between them was a good knock? that is the sort of innings of a sub par batsman? you don't think the big 50s he hit against australia and then england in the 2nd innings were good scores? I mean seriously?

and ok clarke, hayden and hussey have all got averages hugely better in aus than outside. where did I say anything about fast bowling? I'm talking about being one dimensional as a player, unable to adapt. I dunno, but there was something holding these guys back from making much impact anywhere, you're lucky if they average much above 40 anywhere except australia, where they have 60 plus averages.

Stinky steps up to the plate...how long till he realises it's a lost cause? Or can he be the one to silence the troll?

Oh god sohum! Wish for some positive-ness from you. 220-250ish is just too devaluing our batsmen. I thought we would be worser than what we are right now, and this Gambhir-Tendulkar partnership has been very valuable so far for us (though Gambhir has survived two chances). The next new ball is 30 overs away, and if we can score at 3.5 odd runs an over starting tomorrow, we should easily add another 105-110 runs before we start the survival battle against the new ball. I predict India to atleast touch 300 from here on. Whether we touch SA's first innings total or not, will decide how the game goes. Any lead for SA would be gold.

To be fair to Sehwag, in context, nobody in the top 3 of either side, regardless of how they bat, has really looked any good when the ball is doing a bit.

However, I think planning has had more of a role in subduing Sehwag. Australia had good plans against him and it seems, so do South Africa. While we've also seen Sri Lanka attempt to carry out such an unorthodox plan, their bowlers are mostly very medium pace and not big guys either. What makes a good plan is having the men to execute it.

In a way it's still high praise. You can't just have conditions a little in your favour, because he will still play the slower bowlers well. To really get on top of Sehwag you have to bowl with zip and accuracy. That's the demand of pretty much any great Test batsman.

Will reply to this after this test is completed. Since if i respond now with the match still going on, we would be sidetracking the thread too much.

Anything between 320-350 will be good as the South Africans won't have a large lead then. India won't mind a draw here.

Yeah, we had over-communication issues.

I am habitually pessimistic, weren't you aware of this yet? :)

Yeah I know. Have seen this for quite long from you, thats why asked you to be a bit more positive.:D Wish we can surge ahead in this game and put ourselves in a winning position.

I thought amla's looked good in all his innings in the series. Just gave it away the last 3 innings but he looked good while he was at the crease.

Crucial first hour coming up this morning.

Sachin was GONE there!!! SA didnt believe that they had got Sachin and so didnt appeal much. But he was out caught behind by Boucher. So lucky for Sachin. Hope he can capitalise.

Sachin should have walked, I bet the BCCI loved that, UDRS should be mandatory, ICC grow some balls.
