What will the result of the Test series be?

The only respectable 3 and all of which will be retired in 1-2 years and then it will be delicious to see IPL style players pretending to be Test batsmen
Doesn't change the fact that your comment was wrong and the fact that the South African bowling was good enough to dismiss quality batsmen.

Let's see over the series. There is a reason why even "God" averages less than 40 in SA. They can't play on real tracks

Lol the match isn't even over and all the whiners are out. I'd see SAF's batting in the 1st innings and then thump my chest. Anyways, this wicket reminds me of Sabina Park in 2006. If we get a little bit of rain tomorrow, then I wouldn't be surprised if Saffers get rolled over for about 150-200 tomorrow.

And regarding England, didn't they get rolled over for 180 odd on a similar pitch a year ago?

They did and its not that India hasn't done well, so soon people forget, India had beaten england in their own back yard in test series.

When was the last time england won test series against india? :rolleyes

Lol who said anything about England? its not a tit for tat. you indian fans are so childish its pathetic

:p

Suck it up and enjoy the Saffer beating. India will soon loose that undeserved #1 ranking

Suck it up and enjoy the Saffer beating. India will soon be ranked in the bottom 5 where they belong

I'll wait till Saffers first innings is over. And anyways it ain't over till it's over. I'm telling you this Indian team is a bit different from the past. Hopefully, there's a bit rain tomorrow and it looks like the pitch is only getting worse as shown by the inconsistent bounce so Ishant Sharma is the key for India here.

FFS, Tsotsobe bowling 125 kph was getting so much bounce

I'm pretty sure cricket in the subcontinent is not actually played on imaginary tracks, although that would make the "God" thing make a lot more sense.

I'd rather it be similar. Our substandard bowlers have been more than a handful when conditions help them. Must be something about not playing on imaginary tracks.

I agree although we could have done a lot better. Sehwags shot was pathetic and disgraceful. Gambhir was all at sea against Morkel ( who was pretty wayward the first 2 overs). Dravid misjudged it and I don't know what the hell Laxman was trying to do. I was so pissed off when Harbhajan ran himself out. We had a pretty good partnership at that moment and we could have made 200+ which is pretty handy on this track. But I can't wait to see how our bowlers fare tomorrow.

EDIT: http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/match/239923.html

This was the low scoring game at Sabina Park which was a pretty similar wicket damp and uneven bounce.

Just as I predicted India would fail when they play outside of the sub-continent, I'm predicting 2-0 to SA.

As I expected, a performance like this will open the mouths of the whiners about how "we dont deserve the ranking", "how we cant play in such conditions" etc. While it has been a bad batting performance, I expected this from India in the first game of the series considering that they have not had a practice game and are coming after a long long time playing on subcontinent tracks. We are slow adjusters (though, our adjustment times have encouragingly reduced over the years which is why we have improved our record abroad).

These types of collapses can invoke our players pretty well. Let me switch on my optimism mode and hope that India can make it past 150 and then bowl their best to have a great crack at SA. Since Dhoni is still in there, hope he can extend that first innings total of ours.

What do you expect? They don't play any warm up matches and think that playing some twenty20s a year ago in SA will help them acclimatize to conditions. What a joke

Itching to watch Jaydev Unadkat bowl tomorrow at the South Africans. SA might have seen enough of Ishant or Sreesanth, but Unadkat will be new to them. Hope he can make use of it. With such a low total looming over the head, we need to surprise them in whichever way we can. If we have to win or save this test, our first innings bowling performance has to be exceptional. Time for someone to become a hero
