That was a nice day for India as well as South Africa.

I wish Sehwag would have not played that stupid shot.

Only 3 bowlers is a bit threat. Steyn,Morkel and Kallis. Rest all are nothing.

Steyn and Morkel are the major threats (more so, Steyn). Gambhir started getting the better of Morkel as he played him more today. The only worry is that if it rains overnight, it could spice up conditions and help SA's bowlers, which will be a worrying thing for India. But there is also a chance of rain coming up during the next two days which could also eat up time into the game. So all set for a very intriguing two days of test cricket with India trying to survive and SA going for the kill. If India draws this test, it will be a big psychological boost for the team.

I dont think the demons of our pathetic bowling display would fade away.

Now that we can safely talk of our bowling display, one thing that was most disheartening for me was the dispirited approach our bowlers and captain had. Look at the 4 wickets that fell, one cant even say that those were induced by bowlers.

May be it won't be a bad thing if we can get Ojha in next test to just try and suffocate Saffers of quick runs and pray Zaheer and Sree take wickets at other end.

For India? Are you sure? We still need like 300 more runs to secure a lead, a lead! To win this match (or draw), we actually need to score just about 400 runs. Possible?

I bet Dravid will play a big role there. India don't need scoring, they need slow scoring, waste overs. And Dravid's perfect for that.

can't see India drawing this test match. Batting all the two days (and add today's half day) is very difficult still it's not impossible. India have to play with positive mind for rest 2 days.

^^ The form that Lax is in, I'm hoping he makes up for 1st innings failure too. Aus has witnessed the magic of wrists way too many times, time for SA to admire something special too :)

More than Tendulkar, I am counting on Laxman to play a special innings. Dravid so far has looked in very good touch (that pull shot of Tsotbe was superb). Sachin might also score, but these two are most crucial if India have to bat time. Better to be confident of our boys! I never expected us to reach 190/2 after having been battered to almost death by SA in the first innings (bowling wise and batting wise).

This last session showed us how good the pitch is. Our batsmen should find the going easy unless they play any stupid shots. Ishant should do well to stick around. Honestly, they should have sent in Harbhajan out there instead of Ishant.

The rest of the batting needs to step up now. I agree upon the 'Laxman' points raised by relentless_rock and Sai. He is often in a silken touch during the second innings.

Taking nothing away from Tendulkar here, but if his 50th ton has to be at Centurion, it needs to be extra special and should bail out India easily. Thats the way even he would want it to happen.

"Dravid and Laxman saves India's face with a marginal loss. Tendulkar chokes."

Wow Sehwag scored more than double digits in the 2nd innings. Someone drug test him.
