I`m loving this, to be honest. This is high quality cricket. Laxman against Steyn in that one over was amazing. The wicket has quite a lot in it, to be fair. Its pretty green and India have gritted it out so far, at least more than what we saw from the Aussie top order earlier in the day on a far better batting track.

If we fan fight the day out and eek out a 250ish target, we could still have a sniff here as long as the wicket does not flatten out too much.

VVS is the key here because with him at the crease, runs will keep flowing. The others have to continue batting positively as well and try and push the score to beyond 200, for starters.

Lazy shot from Laxy. Would be disappointed getting out in that fashion. An excellent catch though from Tsotsobe.
Half the side down for 136! Well, India would do well to reach 250+score now.

This is bad from India. They did well to go into lunch at 75/2, since then the intent's not been there and the inevitable mistakes/good balls come along n get em out. Laxman was unlucky you could say, very good catch from Tsotsobe.

India are just being bossed by some outstanding bowling from Steyn. That is the single reason for this scoreline.

Another 100 runs and I would say we have done well here.

I see a lot more spirit and intent with our side this game, eventhough the scorecard only reads 168/6. I have a feeling we might see an inspired bowling effort by our attack in this game as well. Just a gut feel.

Well, hopefully India get to 220 at least, which looks likely. I don't know if that's going to be enough, but at least it keeps India in the game.

I feel somewhere around 220 would be an ideal score on this surface. The climate should continue the same when India comes on to bowl, which is the only thing what an Indian supporter should hope. If that doesn't happen, this one will be a xerox copy of the first test!

If the sun comes out and the north east wind blows it won't, then it becomes a batting day at durban. But at the moment it seems it will stay cloudy.

220 will be too low, india need somewhere between 280-300.

Good news for SA is steyn was only suffering cramps due to hydration nothing serious.

Yaa, thats the reason I said the weather should not change.

@ Steyn's health trouble: Hmm... I feel facing him and winning/losing is far better than performing when he's not playing! Because every time in future, everyone will say that "No Steyn, so India won.. blah.. blah..." like how all the Indians say on the 2007-08 Border Gavaskar trophy. I feel its better if he gets alright and plays tomorrow, which avoids many many arguments in forums like this in future :p :lol.

still Pujara looks a proper test batsman. India need to sort these positions out but they have time and batsmen coming out their ears. Australia are showing what happens if you don't plan for the future.
