That was indeed very unlucky for DeVilliers. On my first sight, the only suspicion I had was if it hit his gloves first and pad later. Not quite certain height would have been the reason for DeVilliers disappointment. He thought that was bat first, which certainly wasn't the case.

About Zak's decision, we never got the snicko. I still suspect there could have been back side of bat kissing the ball, alongside the obvious thump of bat on the ground.

Just concede. We are doing well now because of BCCI arm-wrestling against the UDRS.:yes

Did you miss the absolute plumb lbw vs zak yesterday??

BCCI refusal of the review system certainly paying of in this game.:facepalm

My bad, I did see that one and just forgot about it when making that post.

Hmm, was Boucher out? Nope...

Two favorable decisions for India has them right in the driver's seat. Hope ZaK hits Steyn in the upper body/helmet a couple of times in revenge for what Steyn did to him yesterday.

Oh no, Boucher also gets a bad one here. If India win here, we are going to read a lot about how the BCCI refused the UDRS and how it led to India's victory and how we got lucky with the decisions.:facepalm It could take the sheen off our probably victory today.

I can see the up-coming whinging of the SA team and their fans after the last two decisions. India isn't going to get due-credit for this victory (if they win it, which they probably will now). :facepalm:facepalm

Can`t we not win a game on our own ability. Here its the umpires, in India and SL its the flat tracks, in Australia we won only when there was no McGrath/Warne, in England the Ashes attack was missing, wins in NZ and West Indies don`t count. Geez, this Indian side is overhyped.

Saffers still have a chance. India have a history of lifting the foot off the throat when tailenders come in.

aditya123, are you War in disguise?

Lol. Yeah iff we manage a win here, that won't count. Because flat track, NO, against weakened SA side, No No, Oh yeah. BCCI's refusal to UDRS.

But seriously speaking SA supporters have every right to be miffed about DeVilliers decion.

Both decisions were bad, as was ZaK's missed LBW yesterday (although in that case there was some doubt of whether there was an inside edge or not). All three decisions probably had a bearing on the match result.

However, they're all LBWs which typically are the hardest things to judge for an umpire. At least they are not abominations such as missed thick edges for catches and third umpires screwing up on stumpings and run outs.

Don't know why UDRS wasn't used, though. I thought it was the prerogative of the home nation.

I do not care what others think but they got us at 136 and we got them to 131.

We deserved to win this match after the heroics batting of Laxman.

Ponting knows it and now Smith too will know that Over aggression will only cause damage to you and no one else.

Really happy to see India perform this well

True. If the UDRS is not used, SOUTH AFRICA ARE TO BE BLAMED!! It is the prerogative of the home nation whether to use the UDRS or not. TO SA fans/India haters - Dont tell me SA are afraid of the BCCI and so they decided to lick BCCI's foot. That would sound so ugly and cowardly/shameless of CSA.:lol

@ Sai- Indian haters will still say that!! We do not deserve to win and all blah blah!!

Anyways we need to get them down quickly

and another wicket falls!! This is really awesome stuff from India

Haha Sree is back, even if just for one match. Now he'll go back to bowling bad when BCCI ban and suspend him for taunting Smith or whatever.

3 short balls, and that sucker punch length ball that Steyn poked at!! Great stuff from Zak! Can India finish the game in the first session itself? I can get an early sleep if that happens (right now its 4:12am and I havent slept so far in the night):D

Hope that doesnt happen. Smith also reacted. In fact it was Smith who was showing the animated reaction and Sree didnt show any of it when that incident happened.

Why did India appeal for that catch? It was so obvious that he bounced off the ground and then rose up.
