Congratulations to Indian cricket team!!:clap:clap and to all Indian cricket supporters... :cheers:cheers
Now.... even though my 2-0 predition hasn't come true, but an Indian win in Cape Town is likely... so :cheers to all those who opted 2-1 in India's favour :D

And a special bow.. to all those who were hopin, prayin or speaking from experience that India will come good and win the 2nd Test :D..
It does taste a lot sweeter after the hammering we got in the 1st Test ... but this should be the last series India does it to its fans!!!

Well done to india. We got too few runs in our first innings, that's why we were chasing 300. Not going to go into the rest, already said what needed to be said about it.

Bring on cape town.

Ok, am preparing excuses now.

Why India won:

1...Because the selectors are idiots, and should have chosen Unadkat as part of a 4 man pace attack.
2...Because the pitch had some assistance for spinners, and therefore wasn't a good cricket wicket.
3...Because Warne and McGrath weren't playing.

YESSSS!!!! First Perth 2008, now Durban 2010. Victory when nobody thought we could put up a fight on one of the most liveliest pitches of the country that we were touring. Lost the toss, put into bat on a green pitch with overcast conditions, had a bowling attack that was doubted to take 20 wkts, "joke of an offspinner" (though this was said by a guy that loves Indian cricket, so can forgive him), etc. WE DID IT MAN, WE DID IT!!!! The grin on Smith's face when Dhoni lost the toss, its switched faces now.:p

Keep it up boys!! We need to take it forward to Cape Town and create history by being the first Indian team to win a series in SA. For now, enjoy the win! This is special

So to all those who feel that a green wicket is your best chance to beat India, wake up and smell the coffee. Headingley, Jo`burg, Adelaide,Jamaica, Hamilton, Perth, Nottingham, Galle and now Durban in the list of our prominent overseas wins in recent years have been due to the pitches offering help for seamers. :lol

Bring on another green seamer. Not that India would be favorites on a green wicket, just that it makes our bowling more potent and allows us to compete.

@Slowcoach
You Are not alone.... I know many like you will come up..... Time Changes Same Players won't play lifetime....

I don't Care for such comments.. Whenever India Wins, Please don't accept it easily..

Btw Pujara is New Sensation In our fielding.... Ever Player Drops Some Odd Chances.. but He Has Taken Amazing Catches in opportunities he got whether as sub-fielder or as main player....

Catches as sub player don't count in International Record ??

Sai, Harby Singh has been pretty ordinary in the past couple of years and has done very little to deserve a test match spot. That is why I said that. I was happy to be proven wrong though.

Zaheer is just special, truly special. The impact that he has on the Indian team right now, everyone around the world acknowledges it. Its a good thing and a bad thing. Hope we eliminate the bad thing by having bowlers who can manage when he is not around. Also hope Zak can keep the injuries away and do more of this.

Yeah, thats why I said you are forgiven for it because I know you love our team.:cheers

This feels like deja vu. We had a similar build-up to the Perth test of 2008 when people wrote us off saying that our batting would`nt be able to cope up nor does our bowling have the ability to take 20 wickets.

Also goes to show how the non-threatening looking Indian attack has been very efficient in overseas tests over the last few years. It may not have the oomph and fire of a SA/Pak/Aus/Eng attack but whoever has been a part of the Indian attack in all our overseas wins, be it an RP Singh, Sreesanth, Irfan Pathan or an Ishant Sharma have all fought it off to win us tests overseas. Shows that cricket is`nt played on paper. We should`nt be beating anyone anywhere if our attack is as useless as it had been made to look after Centurion.

I think a green seamer is a mistake against india, their bowlers get a lot closer to matching the performance of better bowlers on green wickets than they do on flatter pitches.

SA's bowlers look a class apart from India's when the wicket isn't helping, when the wicket is helping the gulf between the two becomes significantly less. That said, then you get into the problem of how SA will definitely manage a result, as if the wicket isn't helping pace bowlers early they are going to be in trouble if it breaks up and becomes a spinners wicket.

however, even though I like south africa, I am pleased, if nothing it else it shows how much rot people like to talk. All the pontifications about how india can't play any sort of quick wicket and are useless off flat tracks are shown to be rubbish.

LMAO, Gold :D

You know what would truly be my moment of this test match, those 2 deliveries by Sreesanth. Makes you wonder why the guy can`t concentrate more on keeping it simple and bowl like this more often.

:clap Good good post!

Waiting for Cape Town! I guess its more known to be a spinner's wicket. I am pretty sure that after this match, it wont be another green wicket:p

Ok, I must admit, on current form, India are the number 1 test team in the world, I think England will be the next real challenge.

South Africa rely too much on 2 bowlers, and they lack depth in both batting and bowling.

I agree with Aditya and Stinky - while India won't prefer a green wicket, they can compete on them. Sree, Zak and Ishant become a handful when the wicket helps them, and we do have class in the batting lineup to make runs in those conditons.

I am worried about our batting when Sachin, Dravid, VVS and Viru retire...

And yes, Sree is awesome when he keeps his head on straight and just bowls a good line and length. Gets some help from the pitch now and then, and can crank it up to a decent pace when in rhythm
