Story Indian Whites. Is It Possible??[Practice, Interview, Tips by Guru Gary and INDIA VS SRI LANKA]

Apart from most of it, the most un realistic part of that update was the fact you got 25 bowling machines from NZ for a 16 man squad.

Well, sorry hedger, for that write on you. I just wrote it for entertaining people, not any intensions:) and, it'll be taken off on demand:) @ oliver: I dint mention we were 16 in number.

Practice Match against ourselves.
The next day's practice was scheduled a practice match against ourselves. I mean, We were to split up into two, and have a game.
I was forced to be a captain, and I drafted some players like Watto, Warner, Ste and Dan Smith, Hedger, Binga.
They had some powerful bowlers like Andy G (Bracken), Ritzy (Haurtiz), Sarfarz (Stuart Clark) and some explosives like Dwayne Smith and Rohrer.
So, we were batting first.
I took the runners end and Watto took the strikers end.
We had Great game of first over which went for 8 runs.
Watto punished Sarfarz for two fours after 4 consecutive dots.
I was to face Andy G. The first ball was bouncer and it was just left alone.
And then, I started my actual batting when I hit 3 consecutive fours:banana2:banana2 and followed by a dot ball and a single, for which I had to keep the strike.
That was the first time, I was playing on an Aussie Pitch.
Then, I tried for Switch shot, for which I was clean bowled.:crying:facepalm
But, it was 5 over match. So, no matters, 13 runs is great score in 5 over game, what my mind thought.
And then I went up to pavilion and started watching match from the top.
The covers on the top were closed when I requested it as I wanted to test the skill of players in indoor ground.

Some slogging by Warner took us to 57 runs for the loss of three wickets.
Then, they came on to bat and I was amused to see Dwayne Smith opening.
He punished Binga for three sixes in first three and then, two fours.
OMG..!! What we hit was half hit by them in their first over.
Then, I took the ball.
I tried my street cricket trick.
Trying for yorker and spinning it.
I was successful in dismissing Philip Hughes, but of course, was costly.
They extracted 20 runs even from my over.
But still, we had some bowling options like Hedger, and Ste Smith, out of whom I chose Hedger.
He was a leggie and did remove Dwayne Smith and Dominic Thronley.
But it was Rohrer on strike.
They needed 8 from 2 overs remaining.
Hedger had cool bowling figures of "1-0-2-2".:hpraise
Then I had to chose Steven Smith so that I can keep Watto to last over.
We had Steven bowling a great over by giving just 1 run for no wicket.:hpraise:eek:
OMG.! But the only drawback was Rohrer was on strike.
He took a single in the first ball and then, it was Steve O' Keffe, wasting all the five.
Actually, it was Smith, who bowled well, not his weakness as all the six balls he bowled were of different length.
The wonder there was he managed to bowl a BOUNCER. (He's a spinner).
Then Watto was given the ball when he had to restrict 7 runs.
He bowled well but he exceeded 6 runs from his over, taking to a tie.:happy

We walked out of field and then, had a long discussion of two and half hours on our play.
A screen was arranged and we discussed each and every player in detail.

When I saw how I got out, My coach said to avoid such shots as they turn out to be dangerous ones if I play the shots while chasing.

Then, Mott appreciated all the efforts taken and said that we'll have one more match after lunch, which I was not playing as they said that it'd be only for local players.
To be continued....

And then I went up to pavilion and started watching match from the top.
The covers on the top were closed when I requested it as I wanted to test the skill of players in indoor ground.

Um... Arrogant much?
