I think the attitude of these players is really the thing to look at,especially Sree Santh,he seems very confident of his abilities and doesnt get overawed,I think that for the upcoming series against Srilanka he should be considered over Balaji who looks pretty ordinary lately.
Yup. He looks small, but what an attittude. he was practically celebrating while appealing for Tendulkar's wicket. he reminds me of Brett Lee.

Good performances in domestic cricket need to be converted in international too.
This is what the indians lack.
look at murali karthik....great domestic season but internationally he's nothing.

the thing is that ppl do not perform to the expected level in international cricket.

optimism is always good for health. it keeps you positive!

May be he needs to prove himself more before being considered for international selection!

Tendulkar promised so much today before again getting out rather to the skill of the bowler! He was more aggressive today (100.00 strike rate!). I wish he plays some more matches to get fully into the groove!

A flop by Yadav the whole series! I think he has to be sacked and bring in Rao in his place! Dhoni has failed the whole series too! Lets see if Parthiv gets the nod this time. He has done a great job in batting and has kept well too!

Flop for Yadav? Did you see how economical he was? And he only had 2 innings with the bat, ddn't do much though.

Its only 3 matches max. for each player, the bad performances aren't much. if it was 5-6 matches in the series per team, then you could say it was terrible, but in such few games its hard to judge.

yadav cannot be selected for his bowling, he lacks pace, he's kinda like robin singh to me.atleast robin cud hit some lusty blows

I agree Zorax. But things have gotten tighter in the selection panel! Kaif cant be dropped! Rao has made a bang with his knocks of 98 and 101! More importantly, he has that technique to survive for a longer period. Yuvraj is performing, Dravid cant be thrown, Sehwag cant be thrown too and that leaves us with Sachin. He isnt going to be thrown too! So the only person Rao can replace is Yadav in the final XI!

But:

Sachin
Sehwag
Kaif
Dravid
Yuvi
Rao
Yadav
Pathan
Harbhajan
----(VRV Singh/Balaji/Agarkar)
Zaheer

It works. Especially with Super Subs. Bring in Dhoni while bowling.

What? We cant lose Dhoni's hard hitting batting (he just failed the Challenger but has been consistent in international cricket!)

If we bowl first we will still have him...Pathan, Yadav, Bhajji, Zaheer and the new Number 10 can do the job well. I dunnow why, but in my Ideal current ODI squad, Dhoni or Yuvi are always dropped..

It is funny to see people being so happy because India have discovered a Pace bowler who bowls around 140/145.

There are so many bowlers in pakistan that produces those speed results, but they are unheard of,

Great achievment India have finally produced a bowler who bowls around 145.

wow fardin.. you're great in bringing uneasiness to any thread! you should be given an award for that!

Indians are never known to produce genuinely quick bowlers! We specialise in spinners! We are built that way! So its not our fault to be happy when some one among our ranks is that fast a bowler!

Pakistan have a bundle of fast bowlers and even more in the offing. But whenever they bring a new one in, he is sent back to correct his action or get treatment for an injury. No fast bowler, except for Sami and Shoaib, have proved their ability to bowl fast at the international level for a long period of time.
