India's Tests against South Africa cancelled (apparently by CSA)

Players could strike, ultimately they have the power, if there was no Dhoni, Tendulkar, Yuvraj, Bhaji in the team it would massively affect TV ratings

They can, but they wont! You have so many families to take care of. If the players revolt, their contracts would be under fire, and they wont like that to happen. Only way is for the public to protest, or for some new faction to come in and challenge the BCCI's administration (like how the Pawar faction came in while the Dalmiya one was still ruling).

Eh, I think you need to un-tie your knickers mate, I wasn't having a dig at the Indian team, if anything I was slagging off Bangladesh and New Zealand. Jeezo, some people are worse then women at that time of the month....

Maybe you should stop thinking about knickers, condoms, etc. You seem to be floating in all those dirty thoughts for a long time now:p. I know how much tied my body underparts are. You need not worry about it.

Not everyone reads/interprets words and sentences in the same way as you think they would. I just took the liberty of saying that because I thought we were agreeing on things that were being discussed in this thread. I guess I should refrain from doing that.

I was waiting for this test series and now this has been called off :facepalm BCCI full of idots, i agree Dalmiya was corrupt so is the current BCCI. India got 1996 WC becasue of Jagmohan Dalmiya. Dalmiya gave India some international standards. What did current BCCI gave ??

wait guys is it true???
its not showing in cricinfo
maybe it can be a hoax

It would be nice if South Africa pulled out of the series. I mean what is the point of playing another ODI series after a year of barely any test cricket. These cricket boards (UCB and BCCI inluded) seem to only care about making money off limited overs cricket, forgetting about the fans who have been loyal for years before things like T20.

I'm not going to waste my time watching this series, the tests were the only thing I wanted to see.

CSA is no different, they are not completely withdrawing because the 5 ODIs will mean at least 10 plus millon dollars for them and theyd rather take the money than make a stand. All cricket administrators are the same, some just have more money and can bully the other ones around.

BCCI are making mistakes on mistakes,Indian test form is very good and after looking thier schedule one can assume that they will lose their form and then it will turn worse for them because they have to first regain the form to perform and in the mean team there is much chance of loosing series in 2011-12 which will put them down in the rankings.

Wait, what's the reasoning behind this?

Are the BCCI scared that India will lose their No.1 ranking or something? :doh

BCCI is full of mystery, they can really take some mind blowing decissions :sarcasm. I am jjust trying to imagine, what will happen when Sharad Pawar will takes the place as ICC President :doh

Sachin Tendulkar can't score ton tons if this happens. Some matches have to be arranged so that atleast, it'd be profitable for Sachin Tendulkar.:facepalm

Oh well, atleast we don't have to sit and watch over 1300 runs being scored in a single test..
Hmm... 1300 runs were scored in the just concluded Test in Mumbai and we had a result in the first session of Day 5.

This is a poor decision by the BCCI. We are playing South Africa away at the end of next year, though.

Are you sure about that, sohum? I wish that happens. Playing South Africa away is certainly better than playing them at home. If thats true, I would so much look forward to that.

How did the ICC agree to the cancellation of the tests within the FTP? Are they rescheduled or what? How did other nations not protest to it? As much as I like India, I despise the domineering nature of the BCCI and the fact that they are trying to impose their whims and fancies on how international cricket should be run.
