To give regular cricket to minnows, the best thing would be to involve them into the first class structure in the nearest test nations.

For eg. Nepal & bangladesh should in Indian domestic cricket, Afganistan in Pak, Ireland, Scots, Dutch in English set up, Namibia, Kenya, Zims in SA, US & Canada in WI.

Intercontinetal torney are good, but they need all year cricket to get exposure in higher stds.
I don't think that will ever be implemented, although it would be nice to see.

We already see Ireland and Scotland appearing in the C & G Trophy, which I think is good for thier development. If they are playing high class players on a regular basis, it means that they will learn and be able to play better cricket in the future, and hopefully become a competitive top class cricketing nation.

Canadian squad for their upcoming games against Kenya and Bermuda.

John Davison (Captain)
Qaiser Ali
Ashish Bagai
Geoff Barnett
Umar Bhatti
Ian Billcliff (v Bermuda only)
Pubudu Dassanayaka (v Kenya only)
Sunil Dhaniram
Haninder Dhillon
Stewart Heaney

On that last name, isn't Ravi Shankar a bit old to be playing first class cricket? (apologies to those who don't get the joke)

Canada look to be in front after the first day of the match vs Kenya. Kenya are in trouble early and with Tikolo in the pavillion face an uphill battle to gain a first innings lead.

Canada 1st innings: 235 (Qaiser Ali 91*)
Kenya 1st innings: 4/14

Canada v Kenya - 3rd Day Score

Canada 1st innings: 235 all out
Kenya 1st innings: 231 all out
Canada 2nd innings: 286 (Barnett 136, Odhiambo 5/45)
Kenya 2nd innings: 45/2

Canada in a good position here, they'll be the favourites to win. Steve Tikolo needs to fire for Kenya to win. Congratulations on Geoff Barnett for his first first class century, only 3 short of the Canadian first class record.

Tamnay Mishra is a real star in the making. A match-saving knock for Kenya in their first innings.
Odhiambo looks good too. Batted well with Mishra, and then 5 wickets...

Canada won what proved to be a very close match.
