Must have been a fairly bowling friendly wicket. It's a good job that match ended when it did too, Scotland were in real trouble! With such good performances, I wonder why the points were not shared out equally.

That, plus at this level of cricket, there seems to be a tendancy of lower scores, because it is much easier to get the batsmen out.

If, as you say, 'at this level of cricket', why is it easier to get the batsmen out? If the batsmen are worse at this level, the bowlers must be too. It obviously evens out.

Canada v Bermuda result, posted earlier in this thread.

Bermuda 1st innings: 334 all out
Canada 1st innings: 588 all out (Davison 165, Billcliff 126, Samad 119)
Bermuda 2nd innings: 310 all out (Bhatti 6/104)
Canada 2nd innings: 60/1

Low scores?

Cant disagree with that, but as you go lower and lower along the cricket heirarchy, the scores of batting teams get lower.

e.g I notice alot of the time in Melbourne Premier Cricket, there are alot of 100 all outs, and there are clearly not as much in the Pura Cup.

Im not really sure why it happens, because as you said, in theory it should even out, but most of the time it doesnt.

Because of the pitches. They aren't made to last 5 days so to please sponsors and TV channels. They are more challenging.

35. Probably still the best player outside of the test nations though, and would probably make it into some test teams. A first class average of 55 is just brilliant.

I think his first class average has been helped by the fact that the quality of the Intercontinental Trophy is not very high and is generally below most first class standards. But that's not to say he isn't good. Easily the best player outside the Test nations and would walk into the Bangladesh and Zimbabwe team.

Except most of his first class matches have not been in the Intercontinental Cup. Check out his (selected) breakdown by opponent:

v Barbados: 83
v England A: 43
v Free State: 43
v India A: 65.33
v Jamaica: 45.5
v Leeward Islands: 94.00
v Northern Transvaal (now NorthWest): 64
v Pakistan A: 55.75
v Sri Lanka A: 67.14
v West Indies: 53
v Western Province: 46.00
v Zimbabwe A: 64.8

He plays well against pretty much everyone, not just non test teams.

Just like in the Scotland v Ireland game, the last two days have been wiped out by the rain.

Result

Bermuda 1st innings: 133 all out (Odoyo 5/21)
Kenya 1st innings: 204 all out (Mukuddem 6/50)
Bermuda 2nd innings: 19/2

Match Drawn

Points

Kenya: 9
Bermuda: 3

Group A points table

1. Canada (40)
2. Kenya (9)
3. Netherlands (6)
4. Bermuda (3)

This rules out Kenya and Bermuda from the final. The Netherlands must win both their remaining games against Canada and Bermuda to reach the final.

Just wondering Andrew, what are Zimbabwe's status? are they in this league or above/below?
