Intercontinental Cup

I know, I just though that he might have been involved in county cricket. Haven't seen him in many matches for a while and stuff, so it's nice to see he is in the frame of things. Was underbowled though, 8th bowler!
He retired from county cricket at the end of the 2005 season. He isn't a regular bowler anymore, he got the yips in around 2002/3 and has only just started bowling again.

Day 2:
United Arab Emirates 348
Scotland 179/3 (0.0 ov)

Cricinfo must have messed up, they don't know how many overs have been bowled and who bowled for UAE.
Hamilton did very well considering he has just started bowling again. 0/25 in 10 overs. And scored a nice 60 off 99 balls...

why are you not covering these games? andrew
Financial reasons. We did cover all the games played in Ireland and Scotland, plus all three of the Netherlands games, and we should be covering the final.

UAE v Scotland result

UAE 1st innings: 348 all out (Saqib Ali 131)
Scotland 1st innings: 373 all out (McCallum 109, Ahmed Nadeem 5/84)
UAE 2nd innings: 356/8 declared
Scotland 2nd innings: 137/6

Match drawn

Points Table

1. Scotland (35)
2. Ireland (23)
3. Namiba (20)
4. UAE (0)

Just one game left now, UAE v Ireland at Abu Dhabi next month. If Ireland win, they're in May's final against Canada, if not, it'll be Scotland.

UAE v Ireland Result

Ireland 1st innings: 531/5 (Morgan 209 not out, Botha 157)
UAE 1st innings: 243 all out
UAE 2nd innings: 118 all out

Ireland win by an innings and 170 runs

Morgan's innings is the first double century for Ireland.

Ireland will now play the final against Canada in May at a venue TBC.

Decent batting performance by Ireland first time round. That Botha looks to be a decent player and so to Morgan.

The final of this competition will be played at the County Ground in Chelmsford, the home of Essex.

And then the 2007/08 tournament starts two weeks later!

Speaking of Intercontinental Cup, will there be a return of the ICC Trophy?

The final between Canada and Ireland will now be played at Grace Road, Leicester from the 22nd of May. I'll probably be at the 3rd and 4th days.

Canada squad

Ashish Bagai (Captain)
Kevin Sandher (vice-captain)
Qaiser Ali
Geoff Barnett
Trevin Bastiampillai
Umar Bhatti
Ian Bilcliff
Austin Codrington
John Davison
Asif Mulla
Henry Osinde
Naresh Patel
Abdool Samad

The Ireland squad will be named once the availability of county contracted players can be confirmed.
