I think they both offer quite different experiences (I'll try and be un-biassed!), I think ICC offers better match experience and greater realism, whereas CC offers more depth.

I'm torn between ICC and CricketCoach. I'm leaning towards ICC just for the fact that the ICC forums are just so much more active and it generally looks better but I found CC still quite fun. Any other tidbits I ought to know before I decide?
The ICC forums may have more traffic, but the Cricket Coach forums provide more direct communication with the developer of the game. In recent months this has meant that many user requested features have made it into the game.
Also Cricket Coach recently got a significant update (v3.07) and another release is due shortly. Each update is free to all owners of the game and as well as containing bug fixes it also contains new features.
At first glance ICC may look slightly prettier, and certainly has the nice 3D highlights mode. But I've found the fonts get hard on the eye after a while. I'd go as far as to say that barring the 3D view the presentation of each game is of a similar quality. Often with Cricket Coach you'll get more information on a screen, which may make it look slightly cluttered, but actually adds the enjoyment as there's more going on in the simulation.
You might also want to take into account the fact Cricket Coach 2009 is now only ?14.99, making it the cheaper of the two games now.
Do feel free to contact me directly if you have any queries about Cricket Coach 2009, I will do my best to give an honest and straight answer. The goal of the project is to produce the best possible cricket simulation, and communication with those who play it is a crucial part of this.
I have just bought the game and being new to the series, what difficulty should I start on, as I want it to be fairly realistic so I don't want to hammer teams every game, or get hammered every game.
