Middlesex v Kent - Twenty20 Cup - Lords
1st Innings

Middlesex host Kent's third Twenty20 match and although the weather is looking brighter than at the Oval the pitch is still very wet. Kent's luck with the toss persists and they again opt to bat second.

4th Over

Ed Smith and Andrew Strauss open for Middlesex and Strauss is giving the opening bowlers a hard time. Ex-Kent man Smith, however has less luck and in the 4th over he skies a ball and gives Henderson the opening wicket.

Joyce goes the same way later in the same over. Its a more difficult catch to take but Denly makes it.

6th Over

Styris is next to go for Middlesex, Bravo takes the catch at Deep Extra Cover.

w3ui1.jpg

Strauss is fast running out of partners when very next ball Godleman repeats the very same shot.

w4hu3.jpg

7th Over

Bravo turns from catcher to wicket taker to remove Dalrymple as Middlesex slump to 44/5.

w5er7.jpg

8th Over

Stevens and Bravo combine again, this time removing Strauss for 40. Any hope of posting a competative score must be gone for Middlesex now.

13th Over

There's a brief stay of excecution for Middlesex before Nash hits Dexter straight down the ground, and straight into the hands of the waiting Rob Key.

14th Over

Hutton is Henderson's third victim. Dexter this time taking the catch.

15th Over

Its all over for Middlesex in the 15th over when Dexter gets 2 more wickets and Henderson 2 more catches.

Middlesex are all out for a pathetic 72 and Kent walk off looking delighted, they only need to score at just over three and a half runs per over to take the match.

should be an easy win for kent, although alot of catches seem to be taken on the boundary

Middlesex v Kent - Twenty20 Cup - Lords
2nd Innings

Fulton and Key open for Kent and with such a low total to go for they breeze to the target without incident. Its a welcome return to form for Fulton (Who hits a huge six to win the match) as rumours persist that this wil be his final season for Kent.

back to winning ways, with your game in hand you should go into the top two

Why didn't Jones go for the catch for the 2nd wicket?! :p

Good win for Kent with no real worries anywhere

Because, as in all cricket games, the keeper AI is as screwed up as the rest of the AI

Kent have to stop KP and bring on Ferley. Ferley rewards his captain with a wicket, but its not that of Pietersen but of his partner in crime Ervine.

w5oo0.jpg

10th Over

KP's innings is ended by Bravo in the next over. Its been a fantastic innings and its bought to an end when Pietersen mis-hits and the ball ends up in Saggers hands.

w6ip7.jpg

12th Over

Bravo has been bowling really well and is rewarded handsomely in the 12th over.

First he bowls Burrows for 3.

w7ja4.jpg

Then Warne leaves a ball and Warne is gone for a duck.

w8qb0.jpg

And to top off a fine over, Mascarenhas skies a ball so high into the air it comes down with snow on it and straight to the waiting Martin van Jaarsveld.

w9er9.jpg

13th Over

Cook gets the final wicket to give a little bit of respectability to his bowling figures, as Taylor goes for 16. Hampshire are all out for 143.

143 is a reasonable total but I'm positive that Kent will win again :p

w5ak9.jpg

18th Over

w6qf7.jpg

Final Over

Kent need 6 from the final over and Bravo is facing. Pietersen bowls 2 dot ball before Bravo manages to sweep for a single. This brings Henderson on strike. He goes for a big hit but the fielder picks up the ball at long on and only a single is taken. The next ball is a dot ball so Kent need a four to win from Bravo off the last ball. Bravo sweeps - 3 runs are scored and the match is tied.

Oooh what a tight game! I'm glad that Bravo got the runs to level it as he's one of my favourite domestic players. However, it's easy to run 3 because the batsman run like lightening!

tied game, great game, kent a bit unlucky perhaps
No Kent were very lucky, they ran out of recognized batsman, did you even read it?

yeah i did, i mean look pietersen was the only one who really contributed to the hampshire score, i mean if one of the kent batsmen had taken one more run they would have won it
