Only because the total was so low, I think I'd have struggled to reach 100 runs. Its the first time I've batted/bowled using AbBh's v1.2 patch with damp overcast conditions. I found it pretty much impossible without patches but I think I'll have to go with gas here, If I see conditions like that again, I'll have to restart.

i see kev uses inswinging yorkers on middle stump to get them out

Nope they were straight deliveries. I've always managed the odd bowled in an innings but never so prolific before. Khan doesnt swing the ball anyway.

Somerset v Kent - Natwest Pro40 Division 2 - Taunton
1st Innings

Somerset host Kent's second game of the Pro40 league. Its an overcast and mild day but the pitch is good. Somerset win the toss an elect to bat first.

1st Over

Somerset get off to a terrible start when Wood is caught second ball of the innings.

Then White is bowled in the same over.

4th Over

Somerset lose their third wicket without getting off the mark when Khan traps Trescothick LBW.

6th Over

The 4th wicket goes down in the 6th over. Blackwell (who has scored all of Somerset's runs so far) is caught by Denly.

Durston gets a first baller and he falls to the exact same shot as Blackwell.

Khan gets hs hat-trick when he bowls Gazzard.

12th Over

Hildreth is next to go, Fulton gives Bravo his first wicket.

14th Over

Johnson goes the same way 2 overs later.

18th Over

Francis is eventually bowled by Stevens for 19.

He is replaced at the wicket by his brother.

29th Over

Key gives everyone a bowl except himself and Jones and its van Jaarsveld who takes the final wicket. Somerset are all out for 50 when Key takes the catch to remove Francis for 1 run.

2nd Innings

Kent lose just 1 wicket in reply to Somerset's pathetic first innings total. Key gives his wicket away cheaply in the 8th over.

van Jaarsveld wraps it up for Kent in the 11th over, he hits 2 sixes followed by a four to take Kent home.

I'm going to have to go back to abBh's stroke variation beta for pro40 games I think, the batsmen just cant score using v1.2 and they did ok when I was using the beta in the twenty20 cup.

Kent v Hampshire - Liverpool Victoria County Championship - Canterbury
Day 1 - 1st Session

A cool grey day greets the start of Canterbury cricket week in which Kent host Hampshire in both the County Championship and then Pro40. Kent win the toss and decide to bat first.

As usual Kent open with Walker and Fulton. Walker doesn't last long and is bowled by Tremlett for 12.

Kent then go to pieces, First Fulton is run out.

The Key follows him and suddenly Kent are 55 for 3.

Bravo and van Jaarsveld put on a decent partnership and move the score along to 117 before the cat like reflexes of Kevin Pietersen come into play and Bravo is out for 35.

Stevens replaces Bravo at the crease and the pair see van Jaarsveld to his 50 as Kent continue to recover.

With just over 15 minutes to go before lunch Warne comes on to bowl. Immediatley he dismisses Stevens.

Then he accounts for the wicket of O'Brien.

Then the key wicket of van Jaarsveld for 74.

Kent manage to break the 200 run mark before lunch but are 7 wickets down.

Kent v Hampshire - Liverpool Victoria County Championship - Canterbury
Day 1 - 2nd Session

Patel and Henderson frustrate the Hampshire attack and the score moves along to 260 before Patel edges into the slips.

Khan is next to go when Henderson runs him out, he is a bit too eager to reach his fifty. Thats three runouts in the innings now.

Saggers comes to the crease and shortly afterwards Henderson does reach his half century.

Henderson and Saggers take the score past 300 and reach 321 before Henderson is caught by Warne from the bowling of Bruce.

Hampshire begin their first innings at 2:54pm. There is only time for 8 balls to be bowled before rain arrives to bring a halt to play. Hampshire have a single run on the board.

Eventually the rain clears and play gets underway at 4:58pm. The spectators who have hung around are treated to 16 runs before stumps are called.
