Day 2 - 1st Session

Play starts ontime on day 2 and Patel strikes early on to give Kent their first wicket. Adams flicks the ball straight into Bravo's hands.

Kevin Pietersen comes to the crease and he continues his bad run of results againt Kent when he is runout for just 3 runs.

Brown finally goes on the attack but almost immediatley he is caught by Stevens to give Khan his first wicket.

At lunch Hampshire are 68/3.

That's funny Kev, KP got run out against me in both innings, he was looking decent and scoring at a fair rate (about 10-15 of as many balls) in both innings and then got run out both times.
 
great show from henderson, and you have the hamps batsmen on the backfoot

Crawley falls to Patel just after the break.

Patel gets his third wicket when he bowls Thornely for 20 soon after.

Then Burrows gets a first baller.

Warne is next in and he survives a stumping chance but Patel is teaching him a thing or two about how to bowl spin and he bowls Warne for just 1 run.

Bravo then takes a catch to dismiss Tremlett, giving Patel his 6th wicket.

Stokes is next to go, he is given out LBW and Bravo gets his first wicket.

Hampshire are all out for 106 when Bruce is runout for 1.

Hampshire are made to follow-on and start their second innings at 3:19pm. They dont get off to the best of starts when Khan bags the wicket of Brown for a duck in the second over. Brown skies the ball and Rob Key takes a simple catch.

Khan strikes again, last ball before tea and Hampshire are 11 for 2.

If it wasn't for Patel and Henderson your bowlers went at reasonbly realistic run-rates :p

I'll take the odd dubious decision, it makes up for the 150 odd completely plumb shouts that were turned down.

Hampshire come out after tea all guns blazing. KP blasts to his half century, the bowlers have no answer to his onslaught.

With Pietersen gone only Thornely is putting up a fight and he reaches his fifty in style.

Thornely fails to convert is half century into a really big score when Saggers gets him for 66.

Warne is next to go, for just 4 runs as Bravo takes the 8th wicket for Kent.

Bruce falls to Bravo without adding to the score.

Its all over at 5:42pm when Bravo catches Taylor from Khan's bowling for just 1 run. Kent complete a comprehensive victory inside 2 days, winning by an innings and 57 runs.

The sun comes out on the final day of a somewhat empty cricket festival week at Canterbury. Hampshire win the toss and Warne has no hesitation in batting first.

Hampshire make a slow start and have scored only 14 runs when the first wicket falls, in the 8th over.

It's past the halfway stage before the next wicket falls, but Hampshire still aren't attacking.
