What the new version brings to the table, which the RC didn’t? Well LOADS! I’ll try and list the main points here…
* Fully Editable Commentary – That’s right folks, for the first time in Cricket Simulators, CS09 offers editable commentary, and commentary much more than in most ball by ball cricket simulators currently out there. For most of the outcomes, the sim comes with 25 lines, one of which is randomly chosen and displayed during match play. 25 lines for an outcome(15 for stumped and three runs, 25 for others), a total of 255 lines for a match, and a total of 240 balls bowled in one match. I think that is enough randomization there! Add to the fact that to edit the commentary you just have to open the text file and add whatever changes you want to!
* Even better, extensive stats tracking – Things have gone one step higher here! CS09 now tracks detailed stats as well, like 4’s, 6’s, hundred’s and fifties for a batsman, and 5 wicket hauls for a bowler. These changes are reflected in the in match scorecards too. The stats coming up after every over have been refined as well.
* 7 Different Pitch Types – Yes, that’s right! CS09 features 7 different pitch types, which favour different types of bowlers by bowltype, and either upgrades or degrades the batsmen’s advantage! This can lead to varied gameplay, and choosing of the correct lineup is even more vital now!
* End of Bowling Type Restrictions – All but one restriction on the bowler types in a lineup are removed now! The one that remains is, that there have to be at least 6 bowlers in a lineup to allow fair rotation of bowlers, and out of these 6 bowlers, at least two bowlers should be of the time fast, fast medium or medium fast. The rest 4 can be chosen on the basis of the pitch type and seeing what will produce the best results!
