I'm torn as well, which is why I gave Future Past the crutch of being a superhero ensemble movie, which is usually what I use to put Avengers ahead of the rest.

You must be a comic book reader, because I don't think I would've had any clue as to what I had witnessed if I hadn't read an article on the post-credits scene before I even saw the movie, Apocalypse or En Sabah Nur as they say in the scene is so almighty tweaking boss, I've watched a couple of people talk about his backstory and it intrigues me so much, him being the first mutant and basically having 4 brainwashed (willingly or forcibly) servants called the four horsemen, each representing one of Death, Famine, Pestilience and War.
