Dawn of the Planet of the Apes

What a movie. I went in expecting a CGI-heavy-action movie (going by the trailers), and was once again pleasantly surprised at how action took the backseat to the ape v/s humans story. Except that it was not a v/s at all, and in the end was just two species striving to survive and behaving in a very similar manner when faced with similar situations. The parallels drawn between Apes and Humans were executed very well. And Ceasar stole the show, just like he did in the first movie

Easily, one of the best movies of the year
