Love it .. brilliant all over
Watched a Malayalam (Indian regional language) film 'Drishyam' (Translation: 'Visuals').
ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!! One of the best ever films of the decade. No exaggeration at all. It has earned it. I initially thought this film might be too much hyped due to the star actor factor (Mohanlal is a megastar in Malayalam cinema, and a well known star in other languages too). But this film deserves every bit of the euphoria (IMDB rates it 8.6). This one, like every other classic, starts off painstakingly slow to the point where people might get turned off. But like with Lagaan (which for me was another classic that has a very slow and uninteresting beginning), this one hits the money at a certain point (almost an hour; this in a 2 hr 44 min film) and from there, its just epic-ness. Very well executed thriller. And Mohanlal gives an amazing performance. Drawbacks as I said could be the slow start. It takes its sweet time to get to the thick of things. But nothing else to say for negatives!
4.5/5 (A full score could be given, but since it took me two attempts to actually get past the slow first half, I will settle at this).

Richard Linklater's Before Trilogy. Before Sunrise, Before Sunset, Before Midnight. Loved all of them. Well crafted, well paced, emotional, intelligent and thought provoking. And I love all the creativity that goes into it. It was an amazing experience and I see myself re-watching them soon enough.

Have been seeing Paranormal activity 1,2 and 3 the previous three days respectively. The story making sense made me get interest in it or else I am not a big fan of such movies.

Guardians of the Galaxy - easy 10/10
An unabashed fun-filled entertainer, with a lot of soul. Excellent space action and a gem of a soundtrack. But the best part was the effort that went into character development - you knew exactly why the Guardians were doing what they were doing. And also the motives of the bad guys was well defined. And the show stealer was the connection between Groot and Rocket.
The whole movie is very fresh when compared to the recent movies (which were excellent themselves). MARVEL strikes gold again .. they seem unstoppable
