Making bowling more enjoyable, seeing weather/pitch effects etc. - invitation to playtest

Just to see what the outcome would be/maybe get a baseline to work from. I played a game between Eng and Afghanistan. I reduced the batting skills for the first 5 Afghan batsmen to zero. The outcome surprised me! I expected little if anything in the way of defensive strokes, let alone any attacking one's. They scored runs no problem. Still played the occasional cut shot over slips to Yorker length deliveries. They made 80 runs by the time I wrapped up the fifth wicket!!!!

Never give players 0 or max attributes or skills. These "boundary values" may have an unintentional impact since no attribute value (0) may be treated as default etc. Always assign somethink like 1 bar for minimal attribute/skill and leave one bar short of max bars for maximum attribute/skill.

not sure if this is a good or bad thing.

Playing on PS3 so still console patch 2.5

Hadn't played in a while due to some of the issues, had tried with some of the teams in this thread and had some half decent games.

However, decided for a laugh to load up my first career save, think it's on rookie and i'm a 17 year old allrounder, fast swing bowler.

Australian T20 and i'm getting edges galore, keeper, a few to slips, plenty to gully, some to point.

Edges are in the game, they just seem to dry up with greater difficulty and longer formats!!!

With on side and off side at zero they scored at good rate too at pro at 4 as the ai tried to play normal cricket shots.

It seems default values for on side and off side range are the best at 0 .anything above makes the game unrealistic with those batsman to play to slips or over.

Try setting all skills are middle and on side and offside play at zero .

@blockerdave @cooks1st100 and the rest of you blokes. Which pitch/weather/whatever conditions, has worked the best for you with getting edges? Preferably on Veteran/Legend mode. Since I can't play Pro.

If I have to resort to picking the same conditions match after match, I'll do that.lol

On veteran i only ever got edges with spinners.

Since you can't meaningfully control weather, and "chance of rain" means "99.94% of the time it's sunny", you need a worn, cracked pitch.
On veteran I had bell edge one to keeper of a seamer but that was perfect ball pitching middle and seamed away after that never got a edge. The speed at which you push the right stick forward does contribute to quality of the ball.
